the only thing that my daighter wishes in this game is for a variety of pets. Pretty much limitted to cats and dogs. You can have a hamster, but it's not interactive. Also you can not make decisions for the pet... only as the owner.

I was a bit disappointed by this. The graphics are horrible during gameplay. NFS Undergound puts the graphics on this to shame. The storyline wasn't too exciting either.

the 08 version of Tiger Woods golf for PSP is more fun and the graphics seem better which was a suprize.

I've been an avid hater of the Madden Franchise since they bought out the NFL license in 2005. I've been a 2k guy for a few years now. My hatred has been solidified with every time I pick up a friend's copy of each Madden series installment riddled with poor gameplay, features, bad AI, and an over emphasis on graphics. Heck, I've been playing ESPN NFL 2k5 since 2005 regularly for my NFL fix. That was until this edition came along. I have to say I'm extremely impressed with Madden NFL 09. Yes, the graphics are great, but the gameplay and presentation and features are all there as well. Something that the 2k series has had Madden beat on for a very long time. I am still a fan of Counter-Strike, and am also a fan of Counter-Strike Source but I see lost potential. Aside from a graphical update many of the problems I had with the original Counter-Strike are still alive and well in the Source update. Let me say that the graphics are good. Not F.E.A.R. good, or Doom 3 good, but still a huge improvement over the original Counter-Strike. The blood sprays across the enviornment very well and after a room full of people shoot each other up it's a site to see. Also the wounds look really good on the corpses. I especially like shooting people in the face now. The detail on the guns is pretty good, some look better than others on the source engine, but none look bad. For a IP with so much available backstory you would think that this would be a sandbox style game with the flair and fun of one of the Spiderman games. That incorrect. The grey muted palette, half wit story lines and laughable combo system turns this game into yet another lame movie tie in. Another buck to be made of kids and unknowing gamers. Save yourself the money and rent or trade. This is not worth 60$. It is not worth the expenditure of energy to unwrap it.

This was my birthday treat for myself and it's turned out to be more fun than I expected. I've been playing Sims games since Sims 1 back in 2000, I'd say I'm definitely a hardcore Sims 2 player. At first I didn't think the Life Stories would be all that interesting to me, because I already have the Sims 2 base game and all expansions & stuff packs on my desktop. So I passed up the first Life Stories and Pet Stories. But then Castaway Stories came out, and it had new and different concepts from the prior Sims games. I've been trying to motivate myself to get on my exercise bike more so I thought perhaps it would help if I had something like Castaway Stories to play on the laptop while I exercise. I decided to play the game after one of my high school sophomore students recommended I check it out when one of our vocabulary words was "vanguard". The game is your basic first-person shooter. It's set during WWII and you play paratrooper Frank Keegan, a member of the 82nd Airborne Division who is later transferred to the 17th Airborne Division. There are four different campaigns to work through with at least two different missions in each of the campaigns.
