71.Fear Effect from: Eidos Interactive

Video Games : Fear Effect
I loved this game and so far have found it to be the best most original game I ever played. I loved Tomb Raider and thought it was the best until I found FE. The cinematic graphics and being able to play with multiple characters at any given moment was great and very smooth. This game kept me on my toes. The weapons and saves were plentiful. I can't imagine why more games are created using the same type of graphics.
The game play was short but in my humble opinion that's b/c I couldn't put it down, the story line was so interesting. Definitely not a game for children.
I hope Eidos comes out with a part 3 and I can't wait to play part 2.
The one downfall about gaming are the female characters are always half dressed! Maybe the designers need a girl friend but PUT SOME CLOTHES ... Read More

72.Brain Voyage from: Eidos Interactive

Video Games : Brain Voyage
Brought to you by the team behind the wildly popular Brain Age, Brain Voyage is a clean, occasionally compelling collection of classic puzzle themes. The thin premise finds you hopping around the globe, solving puzzles loosely themed after major international cities and earning gold coins for your efforts. These gold coins--a bit of an unnecessary contrivance--allow you to purchase new cities on the map and access higher levels of the cities you've already visited. 16 distinctly different puzzles include some time-tested favorites, such as an entertaining Minesweeper update, an increasingly challenging adaptation of the classic card game Memory, a new take on the board game Mastermind, and an often frustrating set of Tangram-esque puzzles to solve. The quality of the more original puzzles vary widely: the ... Read More

73.Thunderstrike: Operation Phoenix from: Eidos Interactive

Video Games : Thunderstrike: Operation Phoenix
TS:OP is a good game, although sometimes it's hard to see or to even complete the level but i'm up to a challenge. I like to use the maverick and firestorm mostly but rockets aren't too good. Also they could've put a co-op mode but oh well. graphics are great sound is great the only thing that's not great is the fact that the enemy has guided missles and other hi-tech weapons, but overall it's a great buy.

74.Project Snowblind from: Eidos Interactive

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Video Games : Project Snowblind
Project Snowblind has some very interesting gameplay ideas. While the notion of a super-human soldier is nothing new, the powers and how they play out in the game can provide some interesting tactics to what would otherwise be just another FPS. However, as interesting as these powers can be, the game never requires that you use them. In other words, you can complete the entire game and never use one of your super abilities. Which makes them seem far less super.
There are only 1 or 2 boss battles in the entire game and the ending is extremely anti-climactic. It was so low-key, that when I finished the last mission, I was convinced that there must be something else coming. I was disappointed, however, to see a final cut scene and then the roll of credits.
This is definately in the bargain-bin by ... Read More

My Nephew has this game so when I found it finally on Amazon I bought it. Only 9.99 (plus shipping) not a bad deal. However once I received the game due to a "copy protection" on the disc my computer couldn't read/play it. Luckily it worked on my Nephew's PC so we traded discs! There should be some kind of warning that the disc can not be played on `writeable' drives before purchasing any games.

76.Time Splitters from: Titus
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Video Games : Time Splitters
During the PS2 launch, good games were scarce. But along came Timesplitters and it showed some of the great graphics(at the time) that the PS2 could handle. Although the single player was ultimately forgettable, it was the multiplayer that made the game so much fun. Getting some of your buddies over or even with bots was a blast. The levels were great as well as the weapons which seemed reminiscent of Goldeneye which had some of the same people on both teams as you all know. Overall, if your looking for a great multplayer game on the PS2 or if you want to see the original Timesplitters then you should track down a copy of this game.

77.Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix from: Eidos Interactive
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Video Games : Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix
A blend of Old Chinese myths and avant-grade science fiction make Fear Effect 2 a true original.

Like in the first game, you start with Hana (and a new character, Rain) doing an otherwise simple job when everything goes awry. Half the world is dying from EINDS (Environmentally Induced Nucleotides Degeneration Syndrome) and Jin, the same employer from the first game, assigns you to steal a DNA sequence that maps the gene that causes the disease. Problem is, the doctor guarding it just happens to be the richest man on the planet and has security out the Yin Yang. You go through HELL to find this disc, using both stealth and aggression to bypass all his security measures, and its Hell that chases after you when you steal it(literally! Think of the Taoist version of Demons, spiritual trials and torture ... Read More

If you have played the previous games , It is too short compared to the Commandos 2 but very very difficult. The last stages in all three parts are almost impossible. TIP: quick save as often as you can.

I bought this on as it is similar to Elite beat Agents, with the understanding that this would be classical music. HOWEVER upon hearing the music, I was disappointed that it is MIDI (computer generated). I crank EBA with headphones so I may hear the (mostly) great music. I don't think I can do this with this game as the sound quality is so low. And Classical music is hard to listen to if it isn't of good quality. Sadly this game has no target audience, as the baby boomers will be disappointed by the lame presentation and the younger set won't like the music or animation. Another disappointment is the cut scenes are rendered in crude 3d, when standard animation is MUCH more suitable for the material. The action part of the game is pretty good though as you slide the wand instead of tapping. There is still tapping ... Read More

This my friends is what I like to call a HORRIBLE game. Where to start....... how about with the wickedly long load times? Or the confusing game play? How about the overall boring factor in this game. Mostly this game is not worth the 15 bucks I got it for. To further talk about the load times, It makes you wait a very long time to get to the start menu and after selecting a few options, makes you wait an extremly long time AGAIN. I guess you can come to expect this from the psp, but seriously, come on! Anyway, on to the GAME play. Wow. You try to defuse bombs by moving little mirrors to deflect light in a hole, or tapping a random sequence of buttons, or rolling marbles into different areas. AMAZING! Not..... Anyway, another factor that makes this game bad is the confusion some of the games cause! I picked one of ... Read More
