171.Tomb Raider 3 from: Eidos Interactive

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Video Games : Tomb Raider 3
I am a HUGE Tomb Raider fan! I love playing the games! This was actually my first game that I bought and I fell in love with it. The graphics may not be that good to others, but the graphics are one of my favorite things about the game.

172.Thief Gold by: Eidos Entertainment

Video Games : Thief Gold
when i bought my windows gamebox about a year ago, one of the first things i got was "thief bundle", which i gave a five star rating. however, one of my gripes was that the gold version did not come with it, and i wanted to get this after reading websites. finally, i got it through amazon, new and at a very cheap price!

there are 3 extra levels in this game. in thief 1, you need four stones to get into a cathedral; you find these in two levels, two stones per level. in the gold version, each stone is found in its own level. the first gold level, thieves guild, is long and has little to do with the story. its a good level anyway, with the creepiness thief 1 is known for. however, the mage towers is a repetitive and somewhat tedious level, while song of the caverns is the ... 173.Imperial Glory from: Eidos Interactive

Video Games : Imperial Glory
This game came out around the time Total War did. So, it didn't get the ratings. Everybody knows how good (and more expensive..) Total War is, so rather than compare it with TW, I'll mention just the well dones and need improvements here: 1. Awesome, but simple, map of Europe. 2. Not an overwhelming number of units (attrition rate is clear cut - one man is one man) 3. Battles are super (except AI tends to charge and not outflank) 4. The research tree is way cool (but takes too many turns, esp. at the beginning, where the game moves slowly) 5. 5 countries to build into empires (should unlock countries taken over, but no problem really since you can use their troops) 6. Game is modable, but good luck figuring out directions (in Spanish). This game would have been a huge success if the game had ... Read More

174.Herdy Gerdy from: Eidos Interactive
1999
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Video Games : Herdy Gerdy
Herdy Gerdy was a fun game, don't get me wrong, but it's far from perfect. First of all the gameplay consists of herding animals with various types of objects. The storyline actually isn't so bad and the music is great(different from any other game), but the game can get boring pretty fast. Its a bit to hard and that is what makes this game so frusturating. When I first got this game, I played it quite often and got about 33% done. But then I got stuck and, no matter how many times I'd try, I could not get past that part. I sometimes still will go back to playing that game but I have never been able to get past the part I got stuck at about 2 years ago. On the other hand, this game is a nice wholesome game that is suitable for younger kids.

175.Tomb Raider Chronicles from: Eidos Interactive

Video Games : Tomb Raider Chronicles
Tomb Raider Chronicles is my fave TR (Tomb Raider) game (next to Tomb Raider 1). It has stunning graphics, a captivating plot, excellent characters, and interesting music. It's very challenging, and I was truly satisfied when I finished it--a must for any Lara Croft fanatic!

178.Time Splitters from: Eidos Interactive

Video Games : Time Splitters
GameSpot Review
We played quite a bit of Time Splitters, Free Radical Design's upcoming first-person shooter, at publisher Eidos' offices yesterday afternoon, and it has left us with some very concrete impressions of the game. By focusing on multiplayer combat, Time Splitters allows for some truly maddening firefights, which all take place on grand environments that are populated by some truly zany characters.
Though all the modes that Eidos demonstrated seemed to possess their share of fun, none impressed us as much as the game's multiplayer mode. And with good reason: According to Eidos, all the other modes will play second-fiddle and will serve solely as a means by which to unlock extra features - character models and such - in the multiplayer mode.

The multiplayer mode is fairly cut ... Read More

180.Spider from: Eidos Interactive
1999
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Video Games : Spider
You play as a spider and crawl around destroying the creatures in your way (slugs, rats, bats, scorpions, other spiders). You also get these micro-weapons that attach to the spider's legs: bombs, missiles, poison, etc. The game is like a side scroller but it's 3D. You don't control the camera but it moves around to different angles. It has a cool soundtrack too. Be aware that this game is really short and a bit too easy but everything is solid, smooth graphics, good responisive controls. There is no analog function (no joystick control) but the controls are still perfect. You can also use a memory card or passwords to save your game. This is definetely a playstation treasure.
