Video Games : Gex 3 Deep Cover Gecko
In this game, you take on the role of Gex, a wise-cracking gecko who is also a 007-style secret agent who is SUPPOSED to be rescuing a spygirl named Agent Xtra from the clutches of his arch-nemesis Rez, the "Madman of the Media." Instead, you'll find yourself scouring eleven theme-specific stages (each with its own complimentary bonus game) and four secret stages in search of Fly Coins (the equivalent to rings in all those games starring Sonic the Hedgehog), Paw Tokens (25 for an additional hit point), Bonus Coins (essential for playing bonus games), and Remote Controls (You can't make any progress in the game without these.).

This may not seem so bad at first---especially with an interesting array of stage-specific characters set on either helping you or hindering the progress of your ... Read More

Video Games : LeMans 24 Hours
If you're into sportscar racing you'll enjoy this. The physics engine is good, and the structure of the game is well-thought out. It's not strictly linear, but does makes it pretty clear what you need to do at any given time. The tracks are well-rendered. Having been to a number of them, I can say that they did a good job of capturing the feel and atmosphere, especially of the Le Mans track. Highly recommended.

The reviews are all old, but I'm still playing this game. I like it & am disapointed that they have not made another.

Video Games : Tomb Raider 2
Tomb Raider 2 is one of the best TR games. It has an exciting plot, good graphics, excellent villians, and a lot of action. I love this game and play it frequently, and never get tired of it. A must have for all TR collectors!

I was not expecting much when I installed this game, but I was pleasantly surprised. Do not expect Half-LIfe series quality, but the story is very interesting as you take on a bio-body and wield a ton of super-cool weapons with awesome sound effects.

If you like First Person Shooters, you will like this game. When I was playing it, I was reminded of my old "Doom" days - and all that fun.

One negative: the game crashed 4 time for me on XP. I found this usually happened when the "bio-shield" is selected on you special enhancement category indicator. It just does not like some graphics drivers, even the latest ones. Eidos has stated they will not put out a patch. It is a little late for that now.

If you want to read a great action story based on Historical fact, read Black Triangle

Ok this game had a neat concept when i was browsing the shelves at my college rental store for games to pick up. I get home and pop it in and it's the worse GTA wannabe game I've ever played and I've played a lot. The idea of having to kill cops is..whatever. The game itself has terrible control and graphics are very choppy

The A.I. seems to have a brain when it wants to but things are definitely out of wack with this game. In the very beginning of playing I got shot in the foot and my character died.

--------------------------------------------------

The first Backyard Wrestling game (subtitled "Don't Try This At Home") received poor reviews from just about everyone who played it, so you'd expect for Eidos to learn and make a better sequel. Of course, you'd be wrong. Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood (BYW2) is pretty much the same ... Read More

I've played a demo of this game before and it was loads of fun. So after a few years I see the game here at Amazon, so I buy it. It gets to me in a few days, undamaged. I put it in my PS2. At this point I already was concerned about the fact that the disc for this game was dark blue on the bottom compared to most with a sort of silver color. Well, it didn't work. I start hearing a sound that SOUNDS like the disc is attacking the inside of the PS2. The game came out a while ago and in the beginning there were more dark blue discs. I'm not sure what the difference is between silver and dark blue but I know that dark blue discs tend not to work. Just like my gameshark disc that I bought in the early days of the PS2. Dark blue was its color and it worked for a while but eventually it would say not a PS2 disc. So don't waste ... Read More

140.Thief II: The Metal Age from: Eidos Interactive
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Video Games : Thief II: The Metal Age
This game continues the Thief series, and it maintains the high level of entertainment and innovation.

Thief 2 is every bit as challenging and fun as Thief 1, with varying types of levels and goals which have to be completed using stealth and planning rather than a quick trigger finger. If I have one complaint, it's that there are repeat maps on a couple of missions, but the game is still very fun.

This series is even less graphic and gory than Thief one, which wasn't very gory at all. Yes, if you stab someone, they still do tend to bleed, but there are fewer undead creatures.

As with all older games, you might have to jerry-rig it onto your computer, but it can be done. I have played Thief Gold and Thief 2 on my laptop, which uses Windows XP. The Thief series has a very large fan following, ... Read More
