I think this game is a great game when it comes to the thrill of the campaign and the multiplayer is addicting as always. I don't really see why Call of Duty went back to the WWII era again but i think if you liked Call of Duty 4 you'll like this one. As far as the collector's edition.. i wouldn't say it's worth it unless you're buying it since it's a collector item.. I knew what i was getting myself into when i bought it because I've been a fan of the CoD series and the tin artwork looked nice to collect. If you're buying it souly for the gameplay i would buy just the game itself and save the money. This game keeps me addicted and looking forward to the title and hopefully Call of Duty 5 or 6.. If you like 1st person shooters or a fan of the series I would reccomend the game.

Unfortunately, this game fell well short of my expectations. I bought GH3 for my wife, and both of us loved it. So when this came out, we were really looking forward to it. But it quite honestly just isn't as fun.

Pros:
-Drums and vocals which allow for more people to join in on the action
-Features galore, creating your own character, mixing your own song, etc...

Cons:
-Song selection is focused more on slow-tempo items, which for us are not as fun to play. It's much more enjoyable to play "Cliffs of Dover" (GH3) than it is to play "Love Me 2 Times" (GHWT)
-As others have mentioned, you have to play a whole set instead of playing just a song or two

I think that it really comes down to your taste in music. GH2 and GH3 were more ... Read More

I am both Frustrated and Disapointed in GH WT. I was excited to receive it and as a vetran of the RB series, I wanted to see how this game played out. I mainly play the drums, so this is basically all I will discuss.

On RB1 and RB2, I'm normally in the 95-100% on the majority of songs on Hard and am in the 85-90 range on half the songs on Expert. I've downloaded all but 15 songs as well so I have a large list. With that said, I was frustrated to see that I was not even able to get any streaks going or finish a song on medium with over 85%. So I re-calibrated, and still wasn't able to streak anything together. So what is the reason, after looking at it more closely, my Symbol's are not registering every hit. I'd say on avg 1 out of every 7-10 hits on the symbol registers with the ... Read More

I was very excited to receive this game as a gift. I had never played Rockband, so this would be my first experience with the drum and the microphone for a gaming system. I really enjoyed Guitar Hero - III: Legends of Rock so I thought that this would be great. Unfortunately, due to problems with the hardware, it did not meet expectations. The songs are great and would be so much fun to play if the hardware worked.

First, the drums started having problems. I ordered the MIDI-USB kit from activision to try to fix it, and it didn't really do the trick. Then I noticed that I was having problems with the guitar. It would register extra strums or sometimes not work at all. I found that I was able to strum up, but not down (which is a major problem).

Therefore, I had to return the game. ... Read More

I've been playing Rock Band 2 for the past month and trying to write a review without comparing the two is impossible. I will try to keep the comparisons to a minimum and review the Guitar Hero as I experienced it.

Gameplay:

Guitar Hero lets four friends rock out to some of the best songs in rock history using drums, lead, bass, and vocals. All the instruments do an adequate job with only a few glitches...the most annoying being the star power deployment. The guitar is basically the same from the previous games with a touch pad being the main difference. The bass is similar to the guitar with an additional note. The drums have cymbals, two toms, a snare, and a base pedal. Deployment of the star power on the drums can be the most annoying of all. The game does make an attempt to allow the drummer ... For me, the Single player mode is a waste of time, I've played about an hour of single player mode, maybe 4 levels in...

The Online multiplayer is awesome! I've played about 25 hours online since I got the game last week. Its that addicting and well made. Its clear to me that they spent more time developing the multiplayer than the single player mode, and that was the RIGHT move! I've never had to wait more than a minute to get a match, you don't need friend codes to play. You can choose "play anyone" and pick right up with 3 other online players. Yes, its only 4 players in a match, there were rumors that it was going to be 12, but I've played non-stop, and never been in a match with more than 4 people. But, 4 people seems to be perfect, not too much, and not too little. You can play teams as well, 2 on 2 or 3 vs. 1, ... Read More

This is a great game. it is hard but easy at the same time. It is easy to find the animals and where to go, but it is hard to shoot the animal and get it down. there are so many things to hunt, and so many different places to hunt. It is a great game.
