Ok...... I'll be honest. I am NOT an FPS fan. In fact to be honest, I have played only a handful of FPS games (Bioshock, Doom 3, Bad Company,) and several demos for other FPS games.

That being said........BUY THIS GAME!

I will spare you a huge description of plot, Lord knows there are plenty other reviews out there which go in to it. But I will say it is the plot that truly draws you in and goes for the jugular at first with a bit of mystery then erupts in to a full-out action story. With casual gaming I beat this game about 4 days. Not to say the game is small, but when I did sit down I was going through two or three or more missions at a sitting. And now I have upped the difficulty and going at it again.

The weapons are mostly typical from many ... Read More

First, the voice command is interesting and works very well. Generally, I found the graphics and gameplay to be pretty good.

As an RTS game, however, there's not much different here. True, you don't have to build bases, harvest resources and create units, which can be a pain. But just like all previous RTS games, End War finishes the same way-- ordering a rush of units against the enemy. You can try to do this in a strategic way, but there's no real point to it.

The single player campaign is a disappointment too. The underlying story is disjointed and boring-- you certainly aren't engrossed in the outcome of this conflict. The missions revolve around securing uplinks (which are forced into the overall plot in a way that makes little sense), destroying buildings ... Read More

When will they learn? EA is finally starting to put out some decent or even good games and they go and ruin it. I played the beta and thought it was quite fun, however I will NOT be buying this game. Say what you will about SecuROM being spyware, but there is no denying the install limit. I will not allow EA to tell me how to use my LEAGALLY purchased game.

I wonder what the suits at EA are thinking? Its obvious this has done NOTHING to prevent priacy (in fact it appears to increase it) so why is it still being used? I can download a FREE copy and install it as many times as I want, but if I pay for it I am limited to 5 installs! I know EA only cares about the money, but this still baffels me. What is the point in hurting paying customers when it does NOTHING to deter priracy? Maybe when they ... Read More

My daughter, 13, purchased this game and enjoyed playing it except for one GLARING problem. One of the fashion shoots requires the player to dress the model in lingerie! The "mild suggestive themes" listed on the box, I thought ment the skimpy outfits, but no. I amazed that a game company would include this content in a game for kids! It is not a game we are keeping, and now cannot return.

well i guess i'm the only one that was excited about this game. but do have to agree that some of the games on here are little hard to play and get through. but the rollercoaster is awesome watch from all the different angles , but a bit of a learning curve so it's not everyone's favorite in this household.

This is a product that screams inadequate beta testing or lack of real thought into some design aspects. It may become a good game after several patches but probably not possible.

As a preface, I am a long-time Civ player, but never played the prior version of Civ3 Colonization, so I am essentially a Colonization 'virgin'.

Some aspects of poor design to me include the following:
1) Recruiting of new colonists from Europe. The random selection of volunteer colonists is poor. These units can be 'rushed' but often cost as much as 5 times what it would cost to simply purchase the unit. This seems silly at best.
2) Inability to recruit 'regular' colonists who are not specialists, the rarity and inability to recruit indentured servants, and the handling of petty criminals (the European ... Read More

I really like the game, though there needs to be a real sequel. Also need to ditch the squares. They can be used as guidelines, but being able to draw property lines would make it more interesting. Just an idea. I will continue to like this game, but Maxis should get the title back and make a better scalable involvement one for those of us who wouldn't mind micromanaging, but keeping the bigger picture for those who just like watching cities grow.

This game is an old favorite of mine and seemed ground breaking to me when they it was new, but by today's standards, the AI and unit tracking is horrible. Still very fun and addicting however. This boxed set is a great value.

Im a big fan of fps games and wanted something different.I havnt played an RTS game in 5 years mainly because the controls were hard.I got hooked on this game since the demo and with the voice command its so much fun and simple to play. However here are some things to consider: This game is gonna take 5 gigs of your hard drive space for install so you might have to erase some stuff. Also, some times it doesnt pic up my voice commands clearly and sends units to the wrong places which has costed me some games. It might be because Im using a bluetooth headpiece which pics up sound from around me if its not quit. Also this game seems to skip a lot or has even frozen my ps3.Thats why I stopped playing on PC beacause with games installed on the HD it would do this and fps games dont really store much on the HD. Overall I love this game and the ... Read More

I was wrong.

First off, this product is NOT the first baby simulation game. The first that I can remember (there may be others) came out 10 or so years ago as "Babyz" from PF Magic. Ubisoft bought the rights to the game (and its more popular brothers "Petz" and "Oddballz") after their popularity waned.

As a huge fan of these games when I was younger, I figured I'd give this game a shot. Heck, I still play Petz every now and then. I'd play Babyz too, as I still have the cd, but the key is looong gone. So, I picked up a copy that was on clearance the other day.

Yuck! The old Babyz was much better. I personally didn't like the minigames, but it isn't a big deal. The problem was the touch screen was really awful. Really, really awful. I hope the other "Imagine" games aren't this bad, I was hoping to ... Read More
