I've played all of the Madden games (except PS3 versions). The 2009 PS2 version is the best game play ever. The graphics are sub-par compared to the xbox360 but the xbox360 version has horrible game play. I went back to the PS2 version because it is fun football. It has issues with resolution and slow frame rates, but the game play flaws of the 360 are far more damaging to the game. I play the franchise mode with 3 other people. This year we stepped up to the 360. One month later, we stepped back to the PS2. The PS2 version of Madden has superior game play. The xbox 360 version has superior graphics. For those of you who comment in the madden forums, be sure to specify which game you have. The PS2 version is totaly different from the xbox360 version. I can't speak for the PS3 or xbox ... I've been reading updates on this game from the time it was mentioned, I knew about the 6 specific storylines, but what I didn't know was how short they would be. The HHH story is the best, followed by Chris Jerico. They said it would have co op game play which was alot of hype. The only co op story is batista and mysterio. They said you could edit your roster even move titles which from what I see is mainly for our own imagination. I mean you edit the roster but can't do anything with it except wish the next game will let you do the same and test it out. The lack of GM mode is such a let down, the career mode it not what they said it would be. the create a finisher could had more options. This game is decent. The story line and cut scenes are pretty good. After you beat the game, which is not hard to do, you can keep your upgrades and play the story again as a stronger Jedi. However there is no chance in level difficulty whcih makes it boring after completign it twice.

This is just an ok game. we arent very impressed by it. We were more impressed with GH3. We rented this game before we bought it. And very glad we did as it is not worth the $50 for game only. This game seems to center around a band. Now that is fine and im sure very fun but what about those people who just want to play the game by themselves? And we have seen many comments on that here. Hopefully the next one (if there is one) will be better. All in all its not a bad game, but not that great either. Will be waiting to purchase when the price goes way down.

As previous reviews have stated this is a very stylish game, but that is where my praise ends. There is a huge flaw in the actual gameplay, which makes wonder who launched this from the editing block. Every time you attack, and I mean -every- little melee attack, the game leaves the battle map to load a cut scene animation. I wouldn't mind this for special moves, but SRPG battles are time-consuming enough with the simple animations taking place on the map. It's distracting, boring, and renders the game unplayable for a person with limited free time.
