"Star Wars:Episode II-Attack of the Clones" was presented at the Cinemark Theatre at the Hampshire Mall in Hadley,Massachusetts.I purchised my ticket a couple of weeks in advance and despite some of the negative reviews that I read,I was still eager to see this film. After leaving the theater,I realized that although it wasn't as good as the first three "Star Wars" films, but was just as good as "Star Wars:Episode I-The Phantom Menace",I was being entertained.I like watching movies that entertain me and this film did a good job at that.I like to point out that we are living in an age where computer technology seem to be an open doorway to the art of special effects."Star Wars:Episode II-Attack of the Clones" is a great example of that. Some people question the idea of Yoda being recognized through ... I have waited years to see this movie again. Of course, it's not as creepy as I remembered it but I still enjoyed it. A must addition to my sci fi collection.

Nowadays, it is hard to find someone who has not seen the Star Wars movies. If you are one of the lucky few who escaped the Phantom Menace's hype attack during its theatrical release, there is no reason to waste your money and time now to ruin your fond memory of Episode 4 & 5, unless, that is, you are under 8 years old, which is the target audience of this movie. Enough said.

This is one of the best films I've ever seen. There are two main types of science fiction, one trying to extrapolate real possibilites of existinc science with a taste for adventure. The other is an exploration of mankind from within using science fiction as a background. The first type is fun, but over time it becomes the "Buck Rogers", the "Jules Verne Steampunk" stuff. The second type is usually not well recieved at its time, but becomes classic over the years, "The Time Machine" by Wells, for example. "Star Maker" by Stapledon. "Exile of the Aeons" a short story by A.C. Clarke. The story lives on long after when it was written and the 'ill thought super-science' becomes more real and a not to distant possibility.

It's probably funny because I'm a Star Wars fanboy. I'll admit to it. Don't expect everything from this movie and you won't be disappointed. It's just simple fun, not to be too overly analyzed. Way better than those damn Scary (or Epic, or Superhero, or Not Another Teen) Movies.

VHS : Star Trek - The Original Series, Episode 42: The Trouble With Tribbles
This is definitely one of the most humorous of all Star Trek episodes, although I rank it below the original series episode, "A Piece of the Action." It also contains two of the best lines that have ever been uttered in any Star Trek episode.
According to the terms of the Organian peace treaty between the Federation and the Klingon Empire, any uninhabited planet will belong to the side that can make the best case that it can develop it. Sherman's planet is the next planet to be controlled and the Federation is basing its' case on a new strain of wheat. The wheat seed is now being stored on station K7 and the commander has panicked, sending out the highest priority distress signal. The Enterprise responds in full battle mode, only to find that they have been summoned to guard the wheat.

This is the greatest movie of all time. I can't get enough of it! Every time I watch it, I find something new that I missed the first couple of times. And it's hilarious to quote, too... Good movie for late-night movie nights!

VHS : Enemy Mine
Being in a mood for science fiction, I settled in to watch Enemy Mine as it opened with a good old-fashioned space battle, never imagining I would be moved to tears more than once before this most unexpectedly heart-touching film came to an end. I don't think I've shed a science-fiction related tear since E.T., but Enemy Mine is just an indescribably beautiful and moving film. Heck, I think I even like Dennis Quaid now, but Lou Gossett, Jr., turned in an even more remarkable performance than Quaid. The man should have been nominated for an Oscar, in my opinion.

As I alluded to already, this futuristic film opens in a time of war. Humans may have achieved peace on earth by 2092, but their competition with the reptilian Drac race over colonization of a certain galaxy has erupted into full-scale interstellar war. ... Read More

VHS : Flash Gordon
Maybe I could have understood the movie better if I wasn't having so much fun watching it! Why are Sam and Dale stuck out in the universe instead of going back to earth? Well, I'd stay out in space if the alternative was the dreary, dust-ridden planet we get a glimpse of at the beginning of the film. The movie picks up steam and color as soon as Dr. Zharkov kidnaps our hero and heroine and whisks them off to save the planet, and especially when they reach the court of the fabulous Ming the Merciless. Ridiculed for its "camp" qualities when it came out, and for the inadequate and dubbed acting of Sam J. Jones as "Flash," FLASH GORDON in fact tells its story in a relatively straightforward manner, while Jones is unexpectedly winning in a difficult role; as soon as he remembers his football plays in a push against Ming's henchmen in ...
