VHS : I Come in Peace
Essentially, "I Come In Peace" (aka "Dark Angel") is a great idea that was only moderately well exectued. With the exception of appearing in a religious drama, this is probably the strangest vehicle for action hero Dolph Lundgren to get himself over, and to some degree, the Swedish Superman makes it work, but even along with the passing performances of the rest of the cast and a pretty original bad guy, "Peace" ends up being forgettable due to its uninspired pacing and overall lack of action.

Jack Caine (Lundgren) is a vice cop who's earned himself notoriety for doing things his way, much to the dislike of the department. After being assigned a by-the-book partner whom he frequently finds himself at odds with (Brian Benben, "Radioland Murders"), Caine's personal war on Houston's ... Read More

VHS : The Day the Earth Stood Still
Not a sci-fi movie for todays generation which is a shame. Gore, violence and explosions traded in for acting, atmosphere and great story telling. One of my favorite movies. And as for the "editorial review", Gort didn't destroy Washington. Get it right and get this movie.

VHS : Bad Taste
This movie is pretty much tongue in cheek sci fi.
Jack in the golden arches from outer space wants to Kentucky fry
humans. The aliens seem unstoppable after butchering a small
New Zealand town. To the rescue is an odd team of young commandos.
The rest is a shoot out between the heroes and the invaders.
As bad as the dialog and special effects are
the comedy touches kind of make up for it.
I just don't much like horror movies...

5.Earth Vs Flying Saucers starring: Hugh Marlowe, Joan Taylor, Donald Curtis, Morris Ankrum, John Zaremba

VHS : Earth Vs Flying Saucers
Out of all the flying saucer / aliens from Mars classic movies there are, this is not too bad. (I rate "The Day the Earth Stood Still" as #1) The storyline is pretty decent and believable, and the special effects aren't too bad for the time. Nothing compared to todays standards of course, but overall, not bad. Definitely worth adding to your collection of 50's martian / monster movies. Also the actors really did a decent job. The ending is also pretty good. I give it a B+.

VHS : Killer Klowns from Outer Space

The ultimate sci-fi "B" classic movie. It you are a fan of the classics, this is one to add to your collection. Perfect Saturday morning flick. Some blood, so maybe keep very small children away.

VHS : It Came From Outer Space
I saw this move for the first time in 1980, my freshman year at high school.
It was shown on a huge screen and it made a lasting impression on me.
Has a great storyline, plot and the acting is grade A !

VHS : The Thing From Another World
Directed by Christian Nyby and produced by legendary Howard Hawks, The Thing From Another World is a masterly science-fiction film based on the short story "Who Goes There?" written by Don A. Stuart. Later remade by John Carpenter as a horror film, this 1951 classic remains a thrilling example of creative filmmaking and spine-tingling science fiction.

In the North Pole, a group of military personnel and a reporter (Douglas Spencer) leave the base to investigate mysterious activity near an isolated research facility. Discovering a fascinating spacecraft that crash landed in the ice, the group uses thermal charges to unearth it, but accidentally destroy it instead. Locating one of the UFOs passengers thrown from the explosion, the scientists insist that it be brought back to the lab to run tests and research. Without ... Read More

I was seven years old and forbidden to watch this movie. My parents went out and I watched it with the babysitter. Couldnt sleep for weeks and it remains one of only two movies ever to truly scare me. The other was a vincent price horror that I also wasnt supposed to watch. Its was so weird seeing it again 25 years later and I can see why a seven year old would be terrified.
