VHS : Legend of Crystals: Final 1 & 2 (2pc)
I feel it is only fair to preface this by saying that I paid very little for this (less than shipping will cost you on amazon) and that probably shifted my expectations. This video set has four 30 minute episodes that tell a story set in the world of the nintendo game with the same name.

In many ways this was surprisingly good (remember I had low expectations). There was plenty of comic relief. The plotline is not so similar to that of the game. The setting is similar, so you see places from the game drawn out in cartoon form. Some of the details there were nice. The best part of the video is seeing the setting from the video games drawn out and little details added that had inside jokes.

Many aspects of this were over the top to the point where it feels more ... Read More

VHS : Bastard - The Complete Boxed Set
The anime is not that great. I think the story plot was good and I loved the fact that Darsh did not kill his old friends. But what about the ending, it def left room for more series. What will happen to the city? What about all the characters?
The nudity and sexual content is ridiculous and should have been left for something else.I would have liked to sat down and watched the movie with other people but with the sexual content I didn't want too. They would have thought I was a perv.
I hate the fact that the girls were always scantily clad even the high priestess certainly the nudity was not needed.

VHS : Dragon Ball Z Captian Ginyu: Assult/ Double Cross
the ginyu saga is one box-set of non stop action. there are the three main story arcs in it that are Nail vs Frieza, Goku vs Ginyu, and the munchkins on a frantic search to get the 7 seven dragonballs out of the hands of the enemy. wow... it was great with lots of action and some unique surprises (ginyu's power really made me wonder if that was his original body...) it is a great addition to any dragonball z collection.

VHS : Dragon Ball Z: Androids Box (2pc) (Edit)
this is way better than the garlic jr sga and everything before frieza. just watch the trnks saga before it and you'll get everything. heres a summary. 20 years after goku gets back to earth a young boy named trunks goes back in time to stop the androids from taking over the earth. goku fights the first android and vegata kills the second. the other two are obsorbed by cell, a cyborg stronger than the androids. watch until all of it until #17 kills dr gero. when thT Episode is over, watch super android 13, then continue the saga. it works out perfectly

This was one of the first anime I ever saw, following the first two installments and Bio Booster Armor Guyver. It was, and still is, one of the most awesome, outrageous, far out action movies ever. The music is killer and epic, the attitude is daring and optomistic, the action is special move for special move eye boggling, and the story is classically ludicrous. It's the kind of anime that was so off the wall that it begged recognition over seas. Masami Obari is sadly one of the forgotten masters of early anime. He's got a real distinctive style and attitude to his work that stands out of the big-eye-small-mouth crowd.

Movies like Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children have more in common with this, than say, Tenjo Tenge or Naruto. Though, it's probably more comprehensible than the aforementioned Advent Children. Every ... Read More

Overall, I was pleased with this purchase. However, this is the first series where I actively wished bodily harm/death on the main character. LOL Miaka is possibly the most annoying heroine I've seen in anime. The lightning speed in which she falls in love with Tomahome is a major glitch in the storyline. I found myself rooting for Hotohori to win Miaka's affection over Tomahome the entire story. Hotohori was handsome, charming, vain, and honorable and oh yeah, the King. His vanity was hilarious. For some reason, he also fell in love with the whiny, average-looking, Miaka, who happen to already be in love with someone else. He should have had more on-screen time. Chichiri was engaging and funny. Nuriko was the most entertaining character, by far. Her/His humor helped the story along, even during highly irritable Miaka/Tomahoma love/yell ... Read More
