Fabulous movie for anyone remotely interested in aviation, as I was when I watched it years ago (about ten times!), but the movie inspired me to make a career as a pilot (and other aspects of aviation), which I have done. Sure would be nice to have a DVD!

Based on some of the other reviews, you would not want to spend thirty minutes watching this. Although not a travelogue of Yellowstone, it combines historical information with beautiful scenery to present an entertaining program that is worth seeing. At the least, it's worth adding to Netflix que.

This was well done and very informative. A perfect choice to watch for relaxation and learning together. I found the video to be just the right length.

This is a small gripe but the canyons shown are in addition to Zion,Chelly,Canyonlands,Arches,Bryce,,, all without credit,so one might go to Zion expecting to see the sites shown and find they are possibly hundreds of miles from Zion confines. As to the cheesy plot,much like the stupid extras clothed in skins frolicking pointlessly in the Grand Canyon IMAX,,,the plot adds nothing to the grandeur of the photography,,,as Imax is limited to 40 minutes or so why dont these stupid directors give us more scenery time rather than idiotic re-enactments,,

This documentary is shown in the IMAX theater in Tusayan near the entrance of the Canyon. I like the opening line, "Man clings to the edge of eternity." The film focuses on human activity. The Anasazi were the first people in the Canyon. The Spaniards found it in 1540. John Wesley Powell, a one-armed Civil War veteran, navigated the Colorado River in 1869. I was waiting for geology. It never came. The producers aim for a big screen experience and ticket sales rather than trying to impart knowledge. I wondered about the film's subtitle. It seems the secrets might be the fossils buried in the Canyon walls.
