1.Schoolhouse Rock! - Science Rock starring: Lynn Ahrens, Joshie Armstead, Mary Sue Berry, Blossom Dearie, Bob Dorough

VHS : Schoolhouse Rock! - Science Rock
It taught me about science in a different way from the way people normally learn about science. I liked it because it's got some funny parts. Lots of times people learn science by seeing and having someone explain things to them. But this is different. For example, Telegraph Line uses a mailman delivering messages from the brain, which people don't usually see. This makes learning fun.

This is a great video for boys because it shows boys and using the potty. My 2 year-old son is very interested in watching it and will sit still for this short video. Good for beginning the potty training process.

VHS : There Goes a Train
This is great. My train lover three year old loves it. It is funny and yet it is educational. They even throw in the train safety comments about staying off of tracks and so on. I particularly like that they show women and men and people of all ethnicities doing a good job. These are normal people who are proud of their work. The humor is slapstick that young kids can relate to and enjoy. This video appeals to a wide range of ages and is something that parents can enjoy.

Well worth every penny.

My son's vocabulary is insanely advanced (at 16 months old he had 50 words), and I think this video series has helped. He was a super preemie so therapists were urging us to stay on top of his development (at one point his speech seemed behind). One therapist recommended this video series a few months ago. We play these videos (alternating Volumes 1 & 2) for him once every couple of days. He's suprisingly entertained by them (there's no story, just pictures of things while a voice names them: Baby, Ball!) But he soaks it up, and recently started talking up a storm, pointing to things and yelling Lion! etc. Of course the videos don't get all the credit. I constantly narrate to him. But I highly recommended this video series.

VHS : Your Baby Can Read 1
I am a proud parent of an infant at Juniorversity Preschool in the city of Compton, Ca. Gwendolyn Crews is my daughters daycare provider and she has been using the "Your Baby Can Read" dvds. To my knowledge my daughter has been on the program for appoximately 14 months, I have seen such a remarkable change in her abilities and communication skills I had to purchase a set for myself. I'm really proud of my daughter, her daycare and your system. I speak so highly(and so much) of this program, people are running out buying the dvds and are looking into the daycare my daughter attends.

VHS : Signing Made Easy
You can only take so much text, flash cards, and study ... then you need to see it in action. part of the learning process is not just learning the signs, but being able to read them when someone else uses them. Looking for perfect? Language is not perfect. This is a great primer as it also gets you exposed to someone who has had to learn speach without the aid of hearing. this is a great DVD,

I bought this DVD because our child is raised in a bilingual home (English-French). The concept of a multilingual DVD is great but I did not expect the quality of the DVD to be that bad. The spelling of some words is wrong and the pronunciation too: it is not a native French speaker. I am looking forward to a DVD that would be multilingual but with higher standards. This is mediocre.
If your goal is to teach your child many languages, do not get this DVD.

My daughter is 2 1/2 and the first day we had this video she watched it like 3 times! It's very cute and funny, very informative, easy to listen to and easy to watch. I'm planning on getting some of the other Henry the Lizard videos too. Henry is an animated lizard, but the animals are real. There are some parts that are cartoon-ish. I highly recommend this video when you want to watch something is that soothing. And there are NO COMMERCIALS!!! Yeah!

VHS : There Goes a Truck
My 23 month old son loves this video and asks to watch it over and over. He loves wathcing the different trucks work, but loses interest during the scenes where Dave and Becky are talking and arguing. Also, he gets upset about seeing the tow truck back into the car and then drop it and about watching the garbage truck drop the garbage can and then roll away. I'm ordering other truck videos hoping he'll get to see more of the trucks (the part that facinates him) and less of the silly stuff (that upsets him and annoys us).
