i didn't think the acting was all that great. the barfing scenes get old (and real disgusting) real quick. i could say the same for the characters. all you can do is shake your head. what was the point of this movie? a disgusting spectacle? it succeeds there.

i'll give it this much: i kept watching, and actually started getting interested in the story a good hour into it. mildly interested, that is, when they reach tijuana and catch up with sister gomez (vincent de gallo). she takes them under her wing with the purpose of helping exercise them of their demons (for a fee). anyway, i won't give anything away. still, after finishing this movie i almost felt like barfing - but even that makes the whole thing sound more moving that it was. what a joke. the biggest joke though ... You can't expect much from a movie called "Murdercycle", but as C Grade Sci-Fi films go, it isn't all bad.

Sure, there's a lot of unintentional comedy (like lasers that don't seem capable of giving a human a minor, irritating skin rash and a psychic who can be repelled just by thinking bad thoughts at her), and the acting ranges from adequete to subpar. But the film has a decent pace, and it kept me interested enough to watch to the end. Plus, it's got an alien cyborg motorcycle!

One question though: Why do all aliens / monsters have such grainy, blurry vision? No wonder the Murdercycle kept missing with his stinging lasers of owie.

If you have not watched Subspecies One, Two, and Three yet, go pick those up first. Whatever you do, don't let this be your first introduction to Radu.

Bloodstorm:Subspecies 4 starts out wrong and goes downhill from there. I absolutely loved the first three movies, so I don't know what happened here for the writers and directers to wander so far off Radu's well loved trail of blood.

Where Bloodlust left off, Radu had fallen over the stone wall chasing the Bloodstone that Becky had tossed away, and wound out impaled on a dead tree and burning in the sunlight. Bloodstorm picks up with Radu still burning, but the limb breaks and dumps him into a pool of water just as the sun sets, so Radu can grab up the Bloodstone and run into the castle.

We also left Michele wrapped in a ... Read More

VHS : Diary of Lust
This is another one of the surrender cinema softcore flicks. That's all it tries to be. It's not their best but its not bad by any means. Those looking for acting, production values and story shouldn't be buying titles like "Diary of Lust". Those who want a little thrill with their partner would enjoy this. About the only downside is the lack of full frontal nudity, even though the trailers on the disc have lots of scenes with the girls and their George W's. The women are a mixed bag, some really pretty and others more "real" but not ugly.

Don't buy this movie thinking that it will be some real thriller with a lot of blood and guts. It was released by Pulsepounders, a Canadian film company which produces family film horror.

Thouroughly entrenched in the PG range, this is more Goosebumps than Scream and that's a good thing for parents with kids into the horror genre.

A teenage boy uses his wits and the support of his family to save his town from a coven of Vampires. The special effects aren't great, the costumes aren't either, but it serves its purpose of edge-of-the-seat, while at the same time still safe, entertainment a parent can safely let their child watch without worrying it will warp them.

VHS : Kraa!
"Kraa" is a ridiculous man-in-a-rubber-outfit movie that is oriented toward a young demographic, and has enough camp hilarity to earn it three stars easily. The short version is this: Lord Doom is stuck on the cold, dark planet of Proyas, but he covets a warm climate. He dispatches "Kraa: planet wrecker for hire" to Earth to destroy the civilizations there. Kraa lands in the ocean, but thankfully the Planet Patrol is watching from Planet Patrol Station 1645, conveniently located 14 light-years from Earth. The officers of the Planet Patrol appear to be about 14, and the newest member of the crew was sent into space because of her psychic abilities. Unfortunately Lord Doom disables their station, which leads to no end of squawking about different ridiculous problems they are encountering. It's not enough that the ... Read More

I wasn't really into this movie so much. I was expecting horror and I thought this was more of a thriller/suspense. There was a lot of dialouge and overall the movie went too slow. The action is few and far between and some of the film is grainy. I'm going to have to say 2.5 for this one.
