Conspiring monster bugs. . .ejaculating typewriters. . .inter-zone intrigue. . .
As a statement on addiction--interesting.
As a statement on writing--interesting.
As entertainment--duh?
Well-acted, well-made, but just, at times, so flat-out weird that it makes it, well--not enjoyable.

I will totally cop to buying this movie soley because it was highly recommended by Kathleen Hanna (love). Needless to say once I had this dvd in my dirty little hands I was pretty stoked to give it a shot. Now, I wasn't really sure what to expect from this film so I guess I shouldn't have been suprised that by the time the credits started rolling I was in a state of utter confusion. What had just taken place? I mean sure I guess that I understood the general concept of the movie but why did I feel like I was missing something? Now, 4 months later I am still scratching my head. Sure, I appreciate the idea of a feminist force with the power to exact real social change(though I fear that this concept is merely a pipe dream) but I think I may be missing the point. Did this women make any real progress? ... Read More

I cannot praise this episode enough. It's simply a common sense episode. Almost every Star Trek episode is much more than science fiction, but comments on social injustice. This episode is truly exemplerary in this respect -- mixing science fiction and social injustice just perfectly. I'm so glad so many people could watch this and possibly understand the plight of at least 1% of the human population on this planet. Anyone who believes in rights and acceptance for minorities, should watch and I will assume, love this episode.

This movie is so freaking weird (coming from a 21 year-old's perspective). I had to turn it off after the first 20 minutes. I was like german movies and lesbian moves so it seemed like a good fit.

Opening scene is a woman decked out in leather or pleather humping a desk and starting a fire...

5.Girl Explores Girl: The Alien Encounter starring: Laurie Wallace, Darian Caine, Victoria Vega, Natalia Ashe
directed by: John Bacchus

VHS : Girl Explores Girl: The Alien Encounter
This one lacks good story development, its hard to imagine such bad writing and such bad acting from the male alien...it made the story a little irritating at times... but the lack thereof is compensated for by the female nudity that makes the film...expect lots of girl/girl action and some solo action...if like me you like to see some vulva and or labia there are a few scenes which keep you from turning it off totally.

6.The Sticky Fingers of Time starring: Terumi Matthews, Nicole Zaray, Belinda Becker, James Urbaniak, Thomas Pasley

This is a brilliant little gem of a film. Its plot is super-tight and it was made on a shoestring. I've watched it many a time since I am writing about it, and I always find more interesting details.

7.Suroh: Alien Hitchhiker starring: Peter Gingerich

VHS : Suroh: Alien Hitchhiker
This low, low, low budget film is odd and kinky, and explores the nature of spirituality and lust. Paul, a journalist on his way to a UFO convention, encounters an injured alien, Suroh, along the road. Suroh trances Paul into taking care of him, and the two develop a special bond. Paul has to save Suroh from earthly evil forces, escorting him to an "interdimensional window" so that he can return home. The FX are very colorful and the music is cool electronica. A strangely humorous, beautiful film...Call 1-800-229-8575 to buy a copy - it's just $19.95 plus S/H.
