VHS : My Neighbor Totoro
I first saw this film in 2004. I'm a voice-actor and was going to be voicing an anime series. I asked around to see what the best films and series were and, of course, Myiaskai's films were highly recommended. I instantly fell in love with this film and it started me on the journey of seeing all of the films produced by Studio Gibli. I now have a 2 year old son and bought it to share with him, although I fell in love with it as an adult. It is my favorite film of any genre (not just children's). Give it a watch, then start your own Myisaki collection!

I LOVE this movie so much. I just love a good anime, and this was just a really sweet story about a young witch. I really enjoy watching this movie.

VHS : Princess Mononoke (Dub)
Everyone should be able to view Hayao Miyazaki animation. This film is no exception. You must see these films more than once. Put the setup in Japanese and English subtitles to get a better effect. Watch the films once for the story and then for the background animation. Superb!!!!

I can't wait for Studio Ghibli's next film to come to the U.S.. It is currently showing in Japan.

VHS : Pokemon - The Movie 2000
Pokemon The Movie 2000 is the second theatrical film for the Pokemon franchise. Before the film, there is a short titled, "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure." The actual film revolves around three Legendary Pokemon (Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres), and how a Pokemon collector is trying to capture all three of them in order to capture Lugia (the "Great Guardian"). Ash ends up being the "Chosen One" referenced in a legend, and it's up to him to save the day.

This DVD release of Pokemon The Movie 2000 has some special features. First, there is an extra labeled as, "Soundtrack Live." This includes live performances of Dream Street's "They Don't Understand," Alysha's "Dreams," and Youngstown and Nobody's Angel's version of "Pokemon World." There is also a two-minute documentary about the making of the soundtrack, ... Read More

VHS : Tekken - The Motion Picture (Uncut Version)
Jun Kazama watched as a little girl when Heihachi tossed his son Kazuya off a cliff. She is then sent to investigate Heihachi's criminal organization. Kazuya returns seeking revenge.

Hardly ever would I take shots at other reviewers. But I have to say anyone who gives this title anything above 2 stars. Are only trying to get rid of their copy. This anime is god awful, even for a video game turned anime.

Usually one should set their sights low for these titles. But Tekken doesn't even strive to appraoch mediocrity. The animation is atrocious and fighting scenes lack imagination.

This is not a hate review, more like a warning. If you value your cash at all. Stay away from Tekken. I only seen one anime movie worst then this. But Tekken is very bad still. 0 Stars!

VHS : City Hunter - The Motion Picture
City Hunter is a decent anime but far from the best. I gave the motion picture a shot because I was a little interested in the series. Well, I have to say that I'm going to leave the series alone. This movie just didn't do it for me. It's very short on action. The little bit of action that there is, is ok at best. Nothing was really too spectacular to me. The comedy wasn't all that funny to me either. Everytime the main character looks at other women his female partner for no reason whatsoever beats his a** with an over sized mallet. It happened so many times it just wasn't funny anymore. As if it ever was funny to begin with.

The overall plot, suspense, and events leading to the end is what saves this from being unwatchable. Well for the cheap prices this is being sold for it is worth a watch. But there is far ... Read More

VHS : Ninja Scroll (Dub)
This Anime has something that most anime's dont have... GANAS! Well rounded plot, with a few sub-plots passing through just to keep you interested. Major character development throughout the story and enough animated eye candy to interest even the staunchest skeptick. Watch the video and see for yourself why its one of the 100 best anime's ever done.

VHS : Macross Plus: Movie (Sub)
Every review I have read here is talking about Macross Plus - an entirely different series produced several years after this. Macross II is the first sequal series to Macross. The first half is an intriguing set-up for a series, but the second half is lackluster and delivers no real pay-off. PLUSES: The character designs by original Macross designer Haruhiko Mikimoto are fantastic. The animation and space battles for the first half of the story is great. The universe feels like a natural extension of the original series. MINUSES: Poor second half, both in terms of animation quality and storytelling. Overall, a worthwhile diversion for Macross fans, and any fan of Mikimoto or Kawamori's designs. And still light years better than Macross Zero or the infantile Macross 7 which inexplicably ran for many years. Enjoy.
