I agree with another reviewer who said it teaches incorrect phonics! Also, they made odd choices for some of the letters. For example, for "I" they say 'insect' - but of course my toddler says "I" is for bug! Which I have to then correct every time. They could easily have used "igloo" from one of the Maisy episodes, where Maisy and Charlie play inside one. But the worst is the letter X. They say "X" is in 'excited' and 'excuse me'!!! Ridiculous! Especially since they immediately show Maisy and all her friends playing instruments - and Eddie is playing a XYLOPHONE! Duh! The only reason I gave this video 2 stars instead of 1, is that my daughter loves it. I do not - there are better videos to teach the alphabet and phonics.

My 2 year old loves this video. The stories all deal with friendship- what friends do together, how friends help one another, etc. The songs are cute and catchy, and are something even mom and dad can listen to over and over and over. A great addition to our video collection.

Maisy is a longtime favorite with our 3-year-old. She has several of the books as well as this video. She loves the mess the pigs make on the farm. She learned to imitate the animals from the farm sequence, colors from the Egg hunt, to count from the Bird short, and the Cat short helps prepare her for bedtime. A good companion video to "Maisy's Springtime" would be "Maisy's Bedtime".

the producers of this series have reached a state of zen-like perfection. The measured tones of the narrator, the chirping of the little creatures, and the bold colors are PERFECT. When you compare the way that Disney butchered Spot, you will really appreciate these Maisy viceos. These are made for children, and children love them. Whole heartedly recommended.

As I was potty training my daughter she ended up watching this video and now wants to go to bed exactly like Maisy, brushing her teeth, washing her face, and, yes, going potty. Thanks to Miasy, my daughter actually keeps a nightly routine that's "just like Maisy."

There are better Maisy tapes. "Maisy's Birthday" is our favorite. Plus, one of the shorts is repeated on this tape ("Maisy had a motorcar but it wouldn't go..."). Still, it's Maisy and that means it's ten times better than the usual preschooler products. Included are: "Dancing," "Train," "Stick" and "Parade." Surprisingly, one of the segments actually has some sounds that are annoying, I think it's Parade. Train is more about counting than music, and it's repeated on another Maisy video. The short segments between the longer ones are fun too.

My 2 year old loves, loves, LOVES this video. That being said, the video is misnamed. There is one short story about colors and nothing about shapes. What you will find are several short stories and a few cute Maisy music videos. This is a very fun video, but only somewhat educational. Consider it like a collection of clips you would see on the Maisy TV show.

My two year old absolutely loves Maisy. The video is made up of 6 short clips with musical segway's which is perfect for a child's attention span. The simple, bright characters be-bop around to catchy music and lyrics that stick in your head. My daughter needs quiet time to calm down before her nap and she loves to "mellow with Maisy". It is wonderful to have an interesting, educational video that is more low key than some of the other current favorites out there. I would recommend this video (and series) to anyone with young children. WE LOVE MAISY!
