VHS : Jane Fonda's Step Aerobic and Abdominal Workout
I bought this video along with a step video by Kathy Smith. Kathy Smith's moves were much too complex for me and I stopped using it. However after a day's work and doing home chores, I look forward to doing Jane Fonda's video. I have never done the whole step section at one time, but find it easy to choose 2 or 3 segments (the instructors take turns) and I often find myself saying "just one more segment." The moves are simple, but interesting, and the music is fun. All 3 instructors are good and upbeat. It really gives me a workout and leaves me feeling positive because I have enjoyed myself and exercised at the same time.

I've only done the ab section (by Jane Fonda) once, but will do it again because it's easy to follow while giving my abs a good workout.

I have used this video for over 12 years now & this is still the hardest, most thorough step aerobic workout I have ever done PLUS the music, set & camera work is so slick & sexy. You will not find a better, cooler, easier to follow video for a [...] kicking workout ever. I have a case full of other videos collecting dust. Gin Miller is my go-to girl for step aerobics.

I do acknowledge that a lot of people enjoy this series of tapes/dvds and have lost weight using them, but I did not enjoy this workout. I have some of his other tapes (not in the Sweatin to the Oldies series) that I like much better!

VHS : Sweatin' to the Oldies 3: An Aerobic Concert with Richard Simmons
Having started my adventures in home work-out videos with Richard Simmons' Sweatin' to the Oldies, I promptly picked up this third "aerobics concert" in the "Oldies" series. This tape is considerably more difficult (and longer, at about 50 minutes) than the first Sweatin' to the Oldies, but it is still well within the grasp of a very overweight beginner like me. Like the others, it will take the viewer a few runs through to begin to get the moves down, as Richard gives pretty minimal cues. This tape begins with an easy warm up tune, followed by two easy-paced numbers to stretch and warm up the upper and lower parts of the body. Then the dancing takes off with four up-tempo dance pieces. The intensity of your work-out very much depends on the energy you put into it, and the many exercisers (of all shapes and sizes!) demonstrate ... Read More

VHS : Firm Parts: Tough Aerobic Mix
I am a huge Firm fan, and I own a couple dozen Firm videos. This one is one of my favorite because it gets you sweating and working hard, it's a lot of fun, and you're done in about 45 minutes. I love that it has segments from the original Firm videos, which are tougher than the newer ones. It was put together nicely and it's really easy to follow. Get this video! You won't be disappointed.

VHS : Joanie Greggain's Super Stomachs
Joanie Greggain's Super Stomachs is Awesome! There is no other way to put it. I used this after having my children 20 years ago, and got my shape back. Now that I am in my late 40's my body started to change. I purchased another copy and started working out with it again. My body is almost back where it should be, just need a little more time and I will be back to normal. I just wish it was in DVD. Just saw "Ultimate Abs" and that is my next purchase, just for the new technology. Thanks Joanie for keeping my body in shape all these years!

VHS : Walk Aerobics for Seniors - Live at the Club
After purchasing many of her tapes, I found they are basic and clear cut, so you can be any age to do this one, especially if you are a bit tired and want to take it a bit easier - you can on this one. Her tapes are not hard -- she uses simple steps -- you cannot fall or hurt yourself - no twisting or turning, etc. You simply walk in place, use some simple arm movements, simple back and forth steps, side steps, etc. She is highly motivating and very down to earth, and I personally feel you can be any age, from a child to a older adult, to do her tapes. Just purchase them and enjoy!
