My son has difficulty with flashcard memorization. This video was used by his sisters in the classroom and they loved it so much I purchased it for my son. I am pleased to say he is finally learning multiplication and enjoys watching the video. I highly recommend this product.

I grew up in the 70's and 80's watching School House Rock. My favorites have always been "Interjection," "Lolly Lolly Get Your Adverbs Here," "Unpack Your Adjectives." Today, I teach College Prep Writing at a community college, and I introduce my students to the parts of speech with this video. And when I do, I always hear the comments from the back of the room, "Oh my God, she's even singing along." These songs work wonders even for adults. Later on, when we get more in depth, all I have to say is "Lolly Lolly" and students start singing themselves.

I watched this enchanting video about 15 yrs ago on PBS and was enthralled. I think watching it would be a great tradition (like reading "The Night Before Christmas"). Tasha Tudor reflects a joy of life that is so uplifting. I have been trying to find this for my own artistic grandchildren to inspire them.

No, the School House Rock segments are not all correct, nor are they right on the money, when it comes to History. But, you have to realize, they were never meant to be. Our text books in school are not 100% accurate either. SHR was never meant to be 100% accurate. It was created to make kids think, and present the material in a way where it would be fun. Yes, alot is left out, but alot more is in there also. Im am so sick of people trying to be so POLITICALLY CORRECT these days. GET OVER IT, and just accept School House Rock for what it is. A teaching tool, aimed at kids, watching Saturday morning cartoons. GEEESH. Get over it everybody.

Very cool. Kids need to know about good money management skills, and how better than with awesome fun songs. This and the SCRIPTURE ROCK together give a balanced view of what kids need today.

I think this VHS was actually detrimental to my grandson's potty training. The only use he saw for a potty chair like his was a toy bear; all the children in the tape used the big potty and were 4+ it looked like. So, back at square one where he thinks his potty chair is a toy. This VHS might be ok for bigger kids, but even then I would like to see a little less extaneous material, ie, party footage, etc.

It taught me about science in a different way from the way people normally learn about science. I liked it because it's got some funny parts. Lots of times people learn science by seeing and having someone explain things to them. But this is different. For example, Telegraph Line uses a mailman delivering messages from the brain, which people don't usually see. This makes learning fun.

I ordered a second Now and Then right after I got my first one but it was used in great condition and they got the money but I still haven't gotten the movie!! What can I do about this? I will never buy used again, can't trust people.

I can't get enough history on Tasha Tudor. This video takes a look at a wonderful lady who enjoys the SPIRIT of Christmas, working with her hands on Natural gifts provided with the help of Mother Earth. This video WILL leave you feeling good. Ms. Tudor takes you back to the days when Christmas meant family being together; taking the time to enjoy each other's company and adoring the wonderful naivety of the Child. I like this tape a lot; think it's very informative and fun. Bill Nye is terrific as usual; the show is well-written and well done. My quibble is that it's called Human Body and it's really two shows: one about SKIN and one about the HEART AND CIRCULATION. So I bought it thinking it would be an overview of the human body and instead it's two shows about two specific aspects of the human body. So I just wanted to warn other potential buyers. Buy it and enjoy, but know what it's about.
