Although the concept is great, it is ruined by amateurish filming & reproduction. Color changes for no reason,the camera focuses on the wrong things, the sound is tinny -- it is an embarrassment! The young dancers do well & may inspire others -- but the story is "told" sketchily, omitting most of the first act of the ballet.

We borrowed these videos from the library and my older son and I really enjoyed them. I liked the way they didn't ignore the fact that signs can be used in ASL order or English word order. The story was engaging enough. The kids were great. I wouldn't recommend these for a young child or for one with a significant language disability, but they would be nice for an elementary or middle school age child who wants to know more about signing. We didn't purchase them, because we were looking for something for a child with a severe language disability.

After reading all these wonderful reviews I was expecting something a little more professional in it's taping. As it was, the camera couldn't seem to hold still long enough to show exactly what some of the moves were. It was all over the place. I learned a few moves, but this video seemed more like an infomercial or testimony rather than an instruction video. Too much talking and not enough instruction. Over all, they teach 3 hip roles, but claim to teach 4. The fourth one is the same as the first one, just on your knees instead of standing. I wouldn't have bought the video had I been able to see a preview of it first.
