VHS : The Best of The Simpsons, Vol. 4 - Tree House Horror (The Simpsons Halloween Special)/ Bart Gets an F
With "The Best of The Simpsons, Volume 4" we get to the second season of the animated series and the first of the celebrated Halloween specials. These really represent the early years of the show when the focus was on Bart rather than on Homer as it is today, which makes the second one of these two episodes a paradigmatic story for the series:

Episode 16, "Treehouse Of Horror" (First aired October 25, 1990), is the first Halloween special for "The Simpsons," complete with Marge's warning (if you tuck your kids into bed tonight, you do not have to write angry letters tomorrow) and James Earl Jones doing voices. There are a trio of scary stories that Bart and Lisa tell each other in the treehouse while Homer listens outside: "Bad Dream House" (Written by John Swartzwelder) has ... Read More

VHS : The Simpsons Christmas Special
This Movie Is So Outstanding. I Watched It On Tv And It Was So Cool. The Movie Starts Off As Homer, Marge, And Cute Little Baby Maggie Drive To The School To See Bart And Lisa's Christmas Play.
And Lisa Was So Awesome When She Dances On The Stage In A Cute Outfit. And The Cool Part Is When Bart Got Yankked Off The Stage When He And His Classmates Sang Christmas Carols. Next We See The Simpson Family In Their House. Marge Is Sitting On A Couch Writing A Letter, Homer Is Getting Christmas Lights Out Of A Box. (and their pet cat got tangled in the lights). Cute Baby Maggie Is Crawling Around, Bart And Lisa Are Writing Their Letters To Santa Clause. Marge Tells Bart And Lisa To Give The Letters To Her So She Can Deliver The Letters To Santa. Marge Saw Lisa's Letter To Santa First And Was Shocked ... Read More

VHS : The Simpsons Trick or Treehouse Box Set
This boxed set has some pretty good episodes. I especially like "Treehouse of Horror IV", especially the last segment, "Bart Simpson's Dracula". I think the bit when Lisa tells her parents "Mr Burns is a vampire, and he has Bart!" and Mr Burns and Bart appear, I think it's so creepy because obviously Bart is a vampire, but he looks especially spooky. I do enjoy the bit when Bart and four other kids come to Lisa's bedroom window, then Bart says "Come join us, Lisa, etc...Lisa, it's not like you have a choice here..." and smashes her window. Then Lisa screams as Bart pushes her down onto her bed and his fangs extend and Lisa knows in a moment she will be a vampire too...it's my favourite bit. I also am fond of episodes that star Kelsey Grammer as Sideshow Bob, ever since I watched "Brother From Another Series" ... Read More

VHS : The Best of The Simpsons, Vol. 5 - Two Cars in Every Garage and Three Eyes On Every Fish/ Bart Vs. Thanksgiving
We are into Season 2 of "The Simpsons" with the two episodes include on "The Best of 'The Simpsons': Volume 5." The only real commonalities between these two episodes are the idea of running (Mr. Burns for governor and Bart away from home). The fact that the first focuses on Mr. Burns and the second actually has Bart apologizing to his sister, which makes them a pretty atypical pair of episodes. Maybe that is why I think they are both above average episodes and two of the better ones from that second season.

Episode 17, "Two Cars In Every Garage And Three Eyes On Every Fish" (Written by Sam Simon & John Swartzwelder, First aired November 1, 1990) begins with Bart and Lisa catching a three-eyed fish while fishing near the Springfield Nuclear Reactor. Do you think there might be a connection? The ... Read More

VHS : The Best of The Simpsons, Vol. 12 - Treehouse of Horror 2/ Lisa's Pony
Several things about this episode are superb. The moment when Lisa wakes up with the pony lying in her bed, screams, suddenly looks and realises what it is, and rides down the corridor in delight, is superb. "Simpson, you've done it again!" indeed. The scenes where Homer works at the Kwik-E-Mart are great too, the idea of Homer eating the ornamental sausages was a delight.

Overall this episode is an indication of why the family holds together, and why the show is such fun. Homer gloomily watching the footage of Lisa as a baby is fantastic. Treehouse of horror episodes have never been my favourite, but this one is good, especially the wishes offered by the monkey. ANyway, Lisa's Pony is worth the price on its own.

I bought this Vhs and watched it all. This man was found not guilty by a jury of 12 of his peers.Still the public although he was cleared of a double murder charge want this man guilty today. No one that i have ever heard of has been treated like O.J. For the last 14 years or more when a jury finds a person Innocent are they not guilty by the law. This video made me see O.J. In a different light.
