VHS : On Any Sunday
I found this movie/documentary to be rather sophmoric and goofy, but worth watching anyway. Some motorcycle magazine editors feel they have to mention this, "EPIC", tale in their respective publications every month, raving about how wonderful it is and how much it influenced their lives. I just don't see it. I grew up in the 60"s and 70"s and have been riding motorcycles for 39 years. I certainly didn't need Bruce Brown to tell me to.

VHS : Terrafirma 2 (Motocross)
This video was released in '95 and even 12 years later it's worth getting out your old VCR for a watch. I caught "Tank Girl" on TV yesterday and heard the same song thats played in Jeremy Mcgrath's incredible opening segment, so I came home and spent an hour digging for my old VHS tapes and hooking up the VCR just for those first few minutes of motocross bliss. While I don't enjoy the rest of the video as much, its still worth owning and watching even if just for the nostalgia of the good old days when Mcgrath was king riding atop the Honda CR Steed.

This is the movie that started it all. Great music (even today!) and cool riding fill this movie from start to finish. If you haven't seen it yet, it is worth getting just for the funny Elvis footage! You gotta see it and then you will laugh outloud. If you haven't seen it in a while it definetly should be seen again and added to your video collection. Oh yeah, you don't want to miss the interviews with Travis Pastrana, James Stewart, and RC from their mini days. These interviews are very very funny. Plus, it's cool to see what these stars were like back in the day.

VHS : 2001 Motogp Review
This 2001 Motogp review has great picture quality and actually gives us 8 to 12 minutes of footage per race which really gives the viewer a sense of story and tension. That's all we ask as customers who can't see these races live and look forward to these dvd reviews every year. Well Duke, your 2003 thru 2006 review DVDs have fallen way short of basic expectations and are terrible to watch! We don't care about the exotic countrysides and landscapes, we care about the damn races! If you gave us 10 minutes of race footage per race instead of annoying and utterly confusing 5 minute snippetts we could accept your love of showing the global beauty of the hosting countries. Are you selling Motogp or are you a travel agent? Please revert back to your 2001 ways and show the public what a great sport ... Read More

A good video, though not Terrafirma's best. A good mixture of riding and music with a few riders talking

VHS : Hawg Wild in Sturgis
Hawg Wild in Sturgis is one of those fine documentary gems that come along every so often. In the same genre of Hoop Dreams and Easy Rider, Hawg Wild does not falter like William Gates, but makes your dreams come true like a bad trip with Dennis Hopper. The film is basically a documnetation of every sub culture of the world famous Sturgis Motorcycle rally. From x-nam vets licking their wounds to coked up newly weds licking eachother. Love, tits and tattoos, the peaks and valleys of Hawg Wild in Sturgis can only be compared to that of Monica Lewisnky's girlish figure. The highlight of this underground classic is the world famous Shit House jumper. This scene is classic film making with a touch of ABC's Wide World of Sport thrown in. The camera captures the Shit House jumper prepare for ... Read More

VHS : On Any Sunday 2
I will never forget the first time I saw "On Any Sunday". I was 11 years old and was mesmerized. The opening scene where the kid on the bicycle rides a wheelie down the street. I was so in awe of that, that I went on a crash course (literally) to learn how to do a wheelie. I finally figured it out and became the wheelie king in south Charlotte, NC. I could ride one for a half mile or more. Then of course, after the film I learned to wheelie on my motorcycle.(like Malcolm)
Anyway, the gist of this review is that it had a profound effect on my interest in 2 wheeled vehicles. I still love the film to this day!
