VHS : I Shook Up the World - Clay vs. Liston 1964
Poor Sonny Liston. He told his manager, in a moment of relaxation, that in one round he would make Ali pay for his big mouth, or in his own eloquent words: "dust his dome off". One of the lessons Ali taught us is that we can never know what's coming, no matter how certain things seem.

Watch this fight (or slaughter, depending on your perspective) and ask yourself if you have ever seen a human being move as a fast as the young Cassius Clay does in this fight as he shreds the fearsome Liston. I haven't. Each movement of his body happens precisely as he wants it to, and as fast as he wants them to. And all those cute "this was a fix" theories just don't fit with Liston's enraged attempts to. As Ali put it later, "If he wasn't trying to win, he's a better actor than I was."

I am a huge Tyson fan. I love watching his fights anytime, anywhere. I do agree entirely with what Blurb has said regarding the Lennox fight. Tyson was not only heavier and slower, but, since Tyson had fired Rooney a long time before, he had lost all he was taught from Cus. Also due to the fact he kept changing trainers which, in return, changed his fighting style. Slower, inable, loss of structure -- all of this was the build-up to the Buster fight and to the Lewis fight. If I were Mike, I'd be calling Rooney. But, I guess he doesn't want to be champ again.

VHS : Sonny Liston: The Mysterious Life & Death of a Champiom
As I was growing up, I always considered myself a quasi-Boxing historian. One part of my interest in Boxing was the lineage that followed the champions in the various weight classes. Of course, the lure of the Heavyweight Division was too much to resist - therefore I sought to learn about the various champions. Sonny Liston, who was Heavyweight Champion from 1962 through 1964 was someone who was well known to me. Being a Muhammad Ali fan, I knew him as the man who Ali (then Cassius Clay) dethroned for the Heavyweight title. I also knew him as the fighter who defeated the first two-time Heavyweight Champion, Floyd Patterson. There was also a wealth of stories that were told about Sonny Liston- namely his alleged connections to organized crime, his alleged participation in both of his ... Read More

VHS : Ali's Greatest Fights - I Shook Up the World (Clay vs. Liston 1964) / Rumble in the Jungle (Ali vs. Foreman 1974) / Thrilla in Manila (Ali vs. Frazier III 1975)
These three Ali fights were not only great moments in sports history. They were also memorable events from a historical standpoint. Muhammad Ali is the reason why there is so much money in sports today. Salaries were modest before Ali's time. They grew exponentially during his time. And they virtually exploded later on.

And his first fight with Sonny Liston changed boxing history forever, just as Tiger Woods' record breaking Master's win in 1998 changed golf forever. Buy this 3 tape vhs set, and own a piece of history. See a young Ali box rings around Liston. See a cagey Ali 10 years later dismantle the younger, more powerful George Foreman. And watch in awe as a heavier, aging Ali goes toe to toe with Joe Frazier in their third fight, the famed Thrilla in Manila.
