VHS : Jetson Christmas Carol
On the one hand we have animated versions of "A Christmas Carol" where the lead character of a cartoons series such as Mr. Magoo or Fred Flintstone plays Scrooge, and ones like "The Jetsons Christmas Carol" where the lead gets to be Bob Crachit, the other prime example would be Mickey Mouse in "Mickey's Christmas Carol." That is because "The Jetsons" already had the perfect person to play the Scrooge part with Mr. Spacely. Indeed, the relationship between George Jetson and his boss can be traced back through time, through Fred Flintstone and Mr. Slate as well as Dagwood and Mr. Dithers, all the way back to Scrooge and his clerk.

Indeed, the relationship is at the core of "The Jetsons Christmas Carol." Mr. Spacely makes George work on Christmas Eve, even though Astro is sick at home. It seems ... Read More

VHS : Fantastic Voyage
If you have ever visited EPCOT Center at Disney World in Florida, you might have visited the pavilion where one of the favorite rides allows visitors to take a trip, not to outer space but to the inner space of the human body.

This movie provides a rare view to the circulatory and respiratory systems of our anatomy. The plot starts with a scientist arriving in the USA to deliver the secret formula for a weapon that would give us the edge in the race for technological power.

The enemy tries to murder him and he falls into a coma because a blood clot is lodged in the brain and may kill him. Our scientists set out to save his life and through miniaturization they are injected into the blood stream to travel towards the blood clot.

You will enjoy a very young Raquel Welch playing ... Read More

VHS : Zenon - The Zequel - Disney Channel Original Movie
I've watched this movie SO many times back when it aired on Disney, and I've watched its predecessor and successor as well. It's obviously a Disney movie, made for the 8-to-15 age range, but for someone like me who's into space exploration and future technologies, the movie surpasses the age barrier. It obviously has some pitfalls for older viewers, particularly the that's-too-easy plot line and some of the more embarrassing catch-phrases that the writers created for use as "space slang," but there are also some fantastic space elements in the movie. The costumes used are AWESOME -- I wish that stuff were in fashion, because I'd be wearing it everywhere. The space station sets are futuristic in a realistic sort of way that makes you think, "If I had to imagine what a space station would look like in 50 years, I think that'd be ... Read More

VHS : Marvin the Martian: Space Tunes
This was part 1 of a 2 part collection originally released in 1998. The second part was titled "Marvin the Martian: 50 Years on Earth". A year or so later, both tapes were combined and released together, simply titled "Space Tunes". If you want all 12 cartoons, either purchase the newer "Space Tunes"(if you can find it) or purchase both this earlier version (1998) and "50 Years on Earth".
For this particular tape, 3 of the 6 cartoons feature Marvin the Martian, "Hasty Hare" (1952), "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century" (1953), and "Hare-way to the Stars" (1958). Marvin was always my favorite Warner Bros character, with his ego far exceeding his diminutive size, his Roman gladiator armor, his cultured manner of speaking, and all the ultra-cool spaceage toys he had to accomplish his missions.
The other three cartoons also ... Read More

VHS : Power Rangers in Space
I am a long-tim fan of power rangers, the whole idea of them. MMPR was good, Zeo was better, Turbo was below average. I was ready to give up on PR until Power Rangers in Space came out. To this day, keep in mind I am turning fifteen, and I still like Power Rangers in Space. The movie is awesome, but some parts are cut out. Power Rangers in space had everything that most current incarnations fail to reach.
Acting- Above Power Ranger average.
Action- Best before and hasnt been beat yet.
Storyline- Worthy of an award
I know Saban had a habit of chaning them every year, but they should start a PRIS 2
