VHS : Halloween - Resurrection
HAPPY THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY, MICHAEL MYERS!!!

"Halloween: Resurrection" is the best sequel since "Halloween II." It is everything a slasher flick should be: attractive young coeds in peril; an abandoned house; unique death sequences (Jen's beheading was excellent - loved it when the head bounced down the stairs); an eerie soundtrack; dark humor; tension galore; and a beautiful female lead who, towards the end, runs screaming through corridors and up and down stairs while discovering dead bodies. It is very reminiscent of the slasher films that I loved to watch in the eighties.

Jamie Lee Curtis, scream queen of the eighties, briefly reprises her role as Laurie Strode. We learn that she has been locked away in a psychiatric hospital for three years. ... Read More

VHS : Final Destination 2
Final Destination 2 starring A.J. Cook and Ali Larter is so awful you have to see it to believe it. The beginning is the most interesting part but after that the death scenes are lame and completely vile. I just hated this sequel, the original is so much better, check that one out instead. And the acting is the worst I have ever seen as well.

VHS : Friday the 13th 4
"Has the diabolical Jason finally met his match?" Uh, no. Corey Feldman, people; we are talking about Corey Feldman here. Of all the people on the planet, Corey Feldman is just about the last person capable of taking Jason out of the game. Truly, I had forgotten that Feldman was Jason's main event opponent in this "final chapter" of the series. Rightly or wrongly, that just takes something away from what is otherwise a darn good sequel's sequel's sequel - until the ending, anyway. Personally, I think this series jumped the shark when Feldman's character devised his unique plan for facing Jason face to face. In fact, I consider the shark re-jumped in the final frame of the film. It's still a strong entry in the series, the last one that actually tries to scare the audience, but the ending is ... VHS : Friday the 13th 1
Authenticity, creativity, style, and a spine-chilling sensation are some of the most compelling characteristics that make for a truly impressive horror film. Unfortunately, "Friday the 13th" does not even remotely approach those characteristics. This movie is an absolute atrocity that suffers from a variety of unforgivable flaws.

The opening scene takes place in the year 1958 at a summer campsite where a group of teenage camp counselors are enjoying a nice, quiet evening by the campfire. Two of the counselors are brutally murdered by an unknown character after attempting to slip away and make love. Following this incident, the movie fast forwards to the present. The current owner of the campsite, Steve Christy (Peter Brouwer), decides to revive the campsite for the summer with the assistance ... Read More

*Some Spoilers!!*
When I began watching Halloween 5, I was convinced that it was going to save the world from part 4 and help to redeem the series...and I wasen't very displeased...until the closing act...

Who the hell was the partially invisible trench coat man with the brief case, the Man in Black? Without sitting threw the equally terrible, "Curse of Michael Myers", no one would ever have any idea who or what he is...

I mean, did the world of film go stupid for a second and just forget about explaining that piece of the plot? Or were they just so desperate to figure out a new way to get Micheal "out of jail" (like he could have been "jailed") that they created this random character for that part alone...

This was a piece of trash just like its predecessor, 4. ... Read More

VHS : Craft
Fire burn and cauldron bubble -witchcraft sure has changed since Shakespeare's day! For one, the coven of witches in "The Craft" are much more becoming than the hags portrayed in Shakespeare's Macbeth. The story centers around Sarah [a very young Robin Tunney] who is emotionally fragile, having recently failed in a suicide attempt. She moves with her father and stepmother to a new place, and finds it awkward at her new school until she is singled out by a group of girls, Nancy [a wicked Fairuza Balk], Bonnie [Neve Campbell], and Rochelle [Rachel True]. These girls are unpopular at school and nicknamed witches, which turns out to be true. They are amateur witches, dabbling in 'the craft' and Nancy, the leader is convinced that Sarah is the perfect fourth witch to complete their circle.

The plot is ... Read More

VHS : Night of Demons 2
I was surpised by how much I enjoyed this one. A sequel made in the 90's that still feels more like the 80's. There are more laughs in this one which is great because it keeps you from losing interest before all the gore starts. Poor Angela looks about 30 years older here - so I guess demons age too. Mrs. Ben Stiller/aka the movie's Marsha Brady is one of of the hornball kids in peril. Really a lot of fun. The Nun is hoot and a half! Enjoy.

VHS : Night of Demons 3
Wow, I never even thought it would come out to be 2 more sequels, all Demons movies sucked, the only reason I watched the first and second one was the two female kissing parts, awsome stuff, but other then that, the story was lame, and the acting was a total joke. The third was just a total shame, shouldnt even have made it past the editors, it was ridiculously lame, and should have been burned. Take my advice, look away from all Demons films, there just all crap.

VHS : Halloween 4
Suddenly, as the film opens in Halloween 4: The Return of Micheal Myers, we as the viewer are subject to some odd little facts that just suddenly happened. Jaimie Lee Curtis is nowhere to be found, she suddenly has a daughter, Loomis is at his looniest and SOMEHOW survived the explosion in 2 (impossible) and on top of THAT, he lived threw it all with only a few visible scars on his face...
Need I mention that Micheal was shot in both eyes in 2, but has them back (but some strange turn of events) in 4...

I know a lot can happen in "10 years", but i mean some of this stuff is just ridiculous...

While i respect the attempt made here...it was a terrible attempt...
and yet, they went on to make 2 more terrible follow up movies...

no good...

VHS : Halloween H20
Halloween H20 is the worst horror flick ever! I can't believe Jamie Lee Curtis reprised her iconic role as Laurie Strode. Halloween is such a classic film, all the sequels are stupid and not even scary. Josh Hartnett and Michelle Williams over do it here, the whole Laurie and Michael Myers are brother and sister is so calculated, I didn't like Halloween 2 and I don't like this one either.
