So much better than all the schlock crap that is being peddled as "spoof" today. This is a truly funny movie. It will go down in history as setting a standard that has yet to be reached in its genre. Classic horror comedy at its finest!

Jennifer Richards was Sexy as Madusa she looks like she could be Elvira's Mom. ;) I just saw this film in Hi-Def the other night on MGM-HD. and it looks better than it did back in the 1980s. I hope this shows up on Blu-Ray as a low price (under 10bucks) Hi-def title.

I purchased this dog on the basis of a positive review in Leonard Maltin's movie book. It was supposed to be a comedy, a rip-off of Jaws, and filled with sly shots at 1950s scare films. In fact, there is no comedy or satire at all; it's a horror flick for drive-in theaters. A topless woman in the first scene gets the "R" rating--before she's devoured by hungry fish. Lots of blood everywhere. Lots of screaming. It's almost enough to make a couple in a drive-in look up at the screen.

Got this movie my mistake from Blockbuster, there was wrong DVD in the box. However, a great story. But one thing is bad about this movie there is way too much blood. For no particular purpose. If the movie has less crappy scenes with blood streaming out of heads like water fountains, the movie would perhaps win an oscar. Movie like this can only end up on a pile of crap. A horor? Come on. Ridiculous. Therefore 5-2=3 stars for too much blood.

VHS : Parents
The opening scenes of this "dark comedy" feature great 1950s cars, decor, costumes, and musical score! Perky housewife "Mom" is a kitchen whiz who serves up tasty looking left-overs every night. White shirt-and-tie "Dad" is ravenous after putting in long days at Toxico. (Clever company name!) Little Michael just wants to make friends at his new school - and eat something for dinner that's not "mystery meat." What a wholesome, 50s era set-up for a comedy about cannibals! I was having a fun time and even asking for "seconds" at the dinner table - until the little boy started having nightmares. Then I lost my appetite completely.

This is NOT a comedy and definitely not for the kiddies. The first fifteen minutes or so are fine, but watch out! When the film-makers start splashing blood around, "Parents" becomes ... Read More

VHS : Chopper Chicks in Zombietown
Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town, like many Troma movies, all depends on if you like them or not. I love them, so I think this is great. I was fortunate enough to see the premier in 1991.

Here we are again, the eveil dead 2.if youve read my reviews for evil daed and army of darkness you should know im a big fan of this series.evil dead 2 is just like the first one with the thrills and chills we have come to love and expect.this time around ash has more dark humor and one liners(much like army of darkness)and that helps to lighten the tone a bit but by no means does it take away from the movie.all the bllod and gore you remember from the first is back,as are the deadites.overall if youve enjoyed the first part then your sure to love this one and army of darkness.and if not give a shot another because this movie is another MUST OWN for horror fans, diehard or not.

In the continuing series of `everyone has to start somewhere', here we are presented with Schlock (1973)...no, I'm not saying this film is schlock (okay, it is), but, in fact, that is the actual title of the movie (it was once known as The Banana Monster when Troma own the rights, but has since reverted back to its original name). But in terms of starting out in the biz, this was the first film written and directed by John Landis, the man behind such movies as Animal House (1978), The Blues Brothers (1980), and Trading Places (1983). Also, while not his first film, this does mark one of the first collaborations between legendary make-up artist Rick Baker and Landis, which would be followed up with great success in the popular movie An American Werewolf in London (1981).

The movie opens on a playground strewn with bodies...and banana ... Read More
