messes the story line up a bit, but keeps the most important elements for the most part. if you've read the books, it might be a little disapointing, but once you get wrapped up in it, you'll get over that disapointment.

When I saw this film as a youth one of my schoolmates reached the conclusion that "Billy Joe was gay". I disagreed then and I still do. There is no reason to believe that the Chinaman sought out underage girls. I general like Shakespeare to be done in the time it was written for. However, I enjoy anything that Leonardo DiCaprio or Clair Dane does and totally enjoy this film eventhough it has been brought up to date. I give it four stars only because of this.
