Thumbs down on this seller. I am very dissatisfied. I have bought many used items through Amazon and always had very good results with other sellers. I wrote to the seller and did not get a response. I asked for details on returns and no response. I asked for a refund and no response. Do not purchase from this seller. I am still waiting for action to be taken to resolve this issue. I rate this BAD (no stars).
I hope Amazon can help me with this problem.

VHS : The Miracle (1959)
It is truly a shame that this film is not available on DVD in this age of technology! Furthermore...[.....]..ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I already have a copy on VHS and I bought it brand new...and no...it did not cost anywhere near [.....]. That is a total rip off. The movie is entertaining, but it's not that good and most people have never heard of it. Why the scandalous greed when it comes to selling a copy of a VHS? I am just going to have my copy transferred to DVD and I will sell them for [.....] bucks a whop. I'm an incurable romantic and a Catholic and that is why this movie appealed to me. Believe me...it's no great drama, but if you are a romantic like myself, you will enjoy it very much.

After seeing a revival of Carnival at the Kennedy Center about two years ago, I wanted to see this. When I found a used copy recently, I was disturbed. The story focuses on a woman who borders on social retardation and a man who loves her who is emotional abusive unless he's using his puppets to communicate emotion. Hmmm. Worth watching, but what it says about gender roles in mid-century America is just downright disturbing.

It's been a while since I last saw this film and I remember liking it a lot! The DVD has gone out of print(OOP) and it's a shame that so many people will miss seeing this interesting and gritty film. Rourke gives a memorable perfomance in this tale of booze and should-a", "would-a","could a's". I would have to see it again before I could give it an honest rating, but it is certainly worth a new DVD release. "I could have beaten him if I had eaten a sandwich!" Please re-release this film on DVD!

We very much enjoyed this movie. Gregory Peck is a strong actor in this movie, as he was in his other movies. It follows the family business via the one adult child in the family actively involved. Highly recommend.

VHS : Barretts of Wimpole Street (1934)
This beautiful production from the early 1930's of a dark shadow hanging over the promise of glorious love and happiness is perhaps Norma Shearer's lovliest performance. The romance between poets Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett was filmed with a class and meticulous care only MGM could muster. Under Sidney Franklin's direction, William Daniels' photography, and the period flourish provided by Cedric Gibbons, this became one of the greatest romantic dramas ever to be filmed.

Shearer loses her modern slinky charm and projects a luminous class as Elizabeth Barrett, a shining soul living with illness in a house strangled of love by her cruel and repressed father, played to horrible perfection by Charles Laughton. Her lifeline is her continuing correspondence with fellow poet Robert Browning. He has fallen in love ... Read More

VHS : Ode to Billy Joe
*********** SPOILER ALERT ***********

This was a well-acted portrayal of teen heartache and heartbreak.

The lyrics of the theme song by Bobbie Gentry allegedly had some basis in truth.

Max Baer Jr.'s production of this film gave him a vehicle to break out of his "Jethro Bodine" stereotype.

A young Mackenzie Philips played Bobbie Lee's friend.

When I saw this film as a youth one of my schoolmates reached the conclusion that "Billy Joe was gay". I disagreed then and I still do.

Billy Joe was young, intoxicated, and taken advantage of by an older man. There was nothing to suggest that he was on the prowl, searching for male partners. If anything, he was totally in love with and attracted to his girl.

The real tragedy of this story was that Billy Joe ... Read More

VHS : Reckless (1984)
Reckless is truly a classic but it does not get the critic it deserves. While the is about the quintessential good girl meeting bad boy, but the chemistry that Hannah and Quinn have comes across the screen as very authentic. It's the ultimate tale of two opposite attracts. The movie draws you into each one of their lives. It's dramatic, it's mysterous, rebelluous, and romantic. I am surprised it is not on DVD yet because unlike the other movies of the 80's I don't think Reckless is dated. It's a true classic.
