The plot is over the top enough. Bruce Campbell plays Elvis in a nursing home, who didn't really die as he swapped lives with a really good impersonator in the 70s. Ossie Davis plays an older black man who claims to be JFK. Together, they battle a mummy feeding on the souls of the residents of their nursing home in Texas.

Where with Campbell's character you have little doubt he is who he says, it's up for interpretation whether Jack Kennedy is really John F Kennedy with his skin dyed black or not - while he was the first one to accept the possibility of an Egyptian mummy, he's also not totally out of it either.

Bruce Campbell gave a great performance as Elvis. For one, he has the looks and voice for the part to play Elvis. Bruce's "karate" moves fit well as an ... Read More

Since every other review here is discussing the film, you obviously get the plot. However what is not mentioned is how good this film looks in HD Upscaling. It has bright colours and clothing (not unlike the latter Kevin Smith films) that look really sharp and has really nice clarity for a low budget comedy. So if you are looking for a decent comedy to show off your new HD home theatre system and truly want to see how good upscaling can look then I recommend this.

I watched Forrest Gump upscaled the next day and Dirty Work actually looked better in my opinion. Its not a better movie by any stretch of the imagination but it is a superior DVD transfer.

Evie (Jack Plotnick) is a washed-up B-movie actress who is decidedly not aging gracefully. She lives with Coco (Clinton Leupp), her more grounded friend who functions mainly as Evie's maid and abuse magnet. Into their lives walks their new roommate Varla (Jeffery Roberson), an aspiring starlet whose late mother Marla was also Evie's most hated acting rival. All of them have dreams, of course. Evie's dreams involve drinking as many martinis as she can and then having plenty of sex with anyone available. Coco still pines for the hunky abortion doctor that operated on her many years ago. Varla hopes to become the actress that her mother couldn't while dealing with the advances of Evie's gorgeous son Stevie (Ron Mathews). Of course, there are hidden motives galore, and more than one mean-spirited ... Read More

I love this movie about the business man who goes completely "natural"...who then joins up with Ann-M who wears nothing but sweaters with no pants while riding "hogs" for the whole movie--but there is a party scence at a mansion near the end--where you see Ann M dropping her clothes to join the prophet in the bath..and then a Cardinal playing cards gets up to go to the bathroom ---and the payoff must be when the cardinal walks in on AnnM and the Prophet in the bath....but on this VHS...it's just -blip- the next day....I know they cut the juiciest AnnM moment--- how sad. I know the bathtub scene from memory because they once played this movie everyday for a week on an obscure UHF station. P

Product contained a lot of fully dressed UGLY women. Should be rated no higher than PG 13, and that for the one (out of focus)boob shot. Service was excellent, product was a waste of time and money.

The black and white Monogram picture was also known as, "The East Side Kids Meet Bela Lugosi," a cumbersome title at best! It's the 1943 follow-up to "Spooks Run Wild," another Bowery Boys/Lugosi romp which was popular two years earlier.

East Side Kids - Spooks Run Wild

This one begins a little slow but gets much better as it moves along. Leo Gorcey's sister, (played by Ava Gardner!), is getting married to a guy who has bought a fixer-upper home for the two to live in. Leo's gang goes over to decorate but they stumble into the wrong house, next door, which is bulging with Nazis ("The New Order"), who are, of course, up to no good. From there on, there's a lot of spooky peeping through wall picture eye-holes, shouting, and other buffoonery, but it's all great fun.

Total and complete misleading garbage, this was.I have seen some BAD movies and I am admittedly a fan of the genre but why oh why was this made? Luckily I rented this or I would forever be a sap for buying it. Someone spent money on the box cover here but not much else. How about some professional makeup because Lillith Stabs looks really hot on the cover but in the movie you can see all sorts of acne that a little makeup could have hid or at last some creative lighting. The acting was nothing short of atrocious and the demonatrix was not scary at all. In fact, her cheap Hot Topic wings were laughable, not to mention her totally unerotic make out session with one of the many bad-boobjobbed strippers in this scrap. She was the only one to not show her breasts and the only set I would have actually cared to see, ... Read More
