Monster Squad and other comical, horror films are out on DVD. It took 20 years for Monster Squad. How about digitally remaster in DVD for this little Gem. Almost slapstick comedy, but so much fun to watch, but not on schratchy VHS. Please bring this one out of the vaults.

Liza Minelli is such a brilliantly expressive actor and dancer, that she can overcome any tired cliche that's thrown at her (starting with the title of this film), and this one has cliches that weren't even cliches in 1991. She's so great in every scene that the viewer forgets that the talents of Andrea Martin, for example, are wasted. Wasted. Shelley Winters gets a slightly better chance to show her skills, as the wizened, retired theatre exponent who nonetheless plays piano part-time for the troupe, almost *defiantly* lousy. (But at the big show, there she is in the orchestra pit!).
Yes, men are beasts throughout this early-era militant feminist flick. The only non-beast is the solitary xy-entity in the class, a sissified straight guy, badly acted and terrifically danced by Bill Irwin. ... Read More

Samantha Baker(Molly Ringwald) has just woken up on the most special day of her life, her long awaited 16th birthday, only everyone in her house has forgotten!

She has a bratty little brother, a conceited sister who's getting married the next day, and two absent minded parents who've got there hands full with the relatives coming to stay with them.

Not to mention Samantha is totally in love with Jake Ryan(Michael Schoeffling) a beautiful senior who doesn't even know she exists(or so she thinks) who happens to intercept a note that says she would 'do it' with him! If that wasn't mortifying enough she doesn't have her own car yet and has to ride the bus with geeks like 'Farmer Ted'(Anthony Michael Hall) who only has eyes for her 'aged sophomore meat'.

Cluless is a story about Cher (Alicia Silverstone) and her friends who together live a fairly empty and meaningless highschool life. The journey takes a turn when Cher's college age former step-brother comes to stay with Cher and her father and gets Cher to start thinking about more than just herself. A very humorous coming-of-age comedy where Cher learns about life and love. Well acted and well written this is a surprisingly funny movie with lots of memorable one liners and scenes. A somewhat unexpected romance and a cast of well-developed characters make this movie a good choice for those looking for a funny diversion.

This movie was brilliant, and marked by appearances by classic actors such as Lee Majors, as well as the lovely and endearing Jennifer Love Hewitt and the hysterical Will Friedel best known as Eric Matthews from boy meets world, compliments an average script, and along with slapstick comedy and brilliant directing, brings this cult classic masterpiece which has gone relatively unknown to a solid hit teenage film which would put most of the cliche teen drama/comedys of our generation to shame. Other reviews write this movie off as being cliche, what they fail to realize is that it was never cliche when this movie was made... great movies like this are what made it cliche.

Bring us a DVD soon, as I desperately need a new copy, and one brough up to the most recent technologies.
