What a great "old" movie! Not the quality we're used to today, but the storyline was wonderfully funny. The seller sent this movie extremely FAST as they stated they would, and the condition of this movie was as described. (It was a used VHS version). I was very pleased with my purchase and shipping experience.

VHS : Good Neighbors, The Final Season
I grew up watching these on PBS. This show was one of the first things my parents recorded on their VCR twenty-five years ago. Our family loves the comedy. Many lines, eg "Dear sir, thank you for your splendid empty box . . . ", have become part of our dialogue. I would recommend this series to anyone--just not this particular release. The film quality is not up to par with what you would see on TV. There has been a never release by the BBC which has much better quality. If you are looking to add this show to your collection, try the newer release.

To The Manor Born is the finest comedy ever produced by the BBC. In this Volume Audrey is at her upper crust best. Oh how I wish that all the episodes were available on video. Grantleigh Manor with Richard DeVere and Audrey fforbes-Hamilton are the tops when it comes to comedy with that distintive British flavor. If you have not bought it yet, buy now.

This is wonderful end to the series and a "must-have" for fans of the show. The tape I received did include the Christmas show, unlike the tape the other reviewer purchased.

I also first watched this video many years ago, when it was on PBS. It immediately became one of my favorite comedy shows ever - and up to that point, I had watched a lot of British comedy. The characters are so well written, you find yourself completely immersed in Audrey's wiles, and wonder what she'll do next to annoy and exasperate Richard. Anything Penelope Keith starred in was wonderful -" Good Neighbors" was very good too. We could use more comedies this well done these days.

Make youself a cup of tea, pour it in a fine china cup, stir it with a silver spoon, and settle down for more delicious aspects of routine life on a great estate. Volume 3 of the ultimate TV series adds three more captivating courses in the feast involving the adjustments and shifting relationships of both she who was "To The Manor Born" and he who was --- To The Manor Bought, as it were. Penelope Keith continues her eloquent characterization of Audrey as the untitled blue-blood with the breedng but not the money against the impressive portrayal of Peter Bowles as Richard DeVere, the millionaire red-blood with the money but not the breeding.Episode 8 introduces us to the threatened invasion of the farming expert from the city (think about that one) and the outdoor man servant coming indoors ... I was thrilled with my purchase of this 4 episode VHS tape. These episodes are very rarely broadcast by my local PBS station (in fact I've only seen them once and I'm a devoted viewer). It's a real pleasure to click onto the refined comic adventures of Mrs.fforbes-Hamilton and the dashing Mr. DeVere whenever I need an English"fix". Watching any To The Manor Born episode is like having tea at Harrods.
