Your level of enjoyment will probably depend on how much you appreciate Zappa and his particular brand of [...]. As a movie musical, it seems at times to be a parody of the genre while simultaneously stretching the form well beyond its normal parameters. There are a few genuinely hilarious laugh-out-loud moments, and I love the incidental orchestral music that accompanies and perfectly complements some of the scenes, but I was no fan of the Flo & Eddie era Mothers, so most of the band stuff does nothing for me. Well worth one viewing but I can't imagine wanting to see it again for a very long time: the last time I saw it was at a theatre when it was first released, 36 years ago, I believe; I could probably wait that long again.

Jack Nicholson singing ? What could possibly go wrong ? I felt like I took a tab of acid in post-war London. Ken Russell is one of those insane visionaries that goes waaaaaayyyyyy beyond conventional film making. There are some artsy-fartsy themes to it, but, then again, Ann Margret is covered in baked beans. DON'T UNDERESTIMATE KEITH MOON'S PERFORMANCE !

3.Xanadu starring: Olivia Newton-John, Gene Kelly, Michael Beck, James Sloyan, Dimitra Arliss

This movie is a very fun and enjoyable film. It takes me back to when I was younger and watched it and I enjoy it just as much now as I did then. The soundtract is amazing and the songs are fun to get up and dance to.

VHS : The Rocky Horror Picture Show - The 25th Anniversary Edition
You get to see a butch run around in a bra the whole time. When you're in college and you get a coed to go down on you, you do get desensitized. As a horror film it fails, as an exercise in high camp it's not campy is it goes along, as a porn it works but as a musical it's a masterpiece. This blows away Cats, Wizard of Oz, Singing in the Rain, you name it. The best musical ever made, hands down no insurance needed. It's about 10 PM Central time at at college typing it and no one else in the building, so have times changed since then? Don't be a quack in college- explore your sexuality and that's what this is all about. I loved it it is right here right now when I watched that it night erotic.

However, the additional features are great, and Shock Treatment is also a great movie. RHPS, as you probably know by now, is known for having audience participation. In my personal opinion, it's the greatest movie ever, with or without the audience participation. Whether I'm watching it on the big screen, or just on a TV set, I love it.

With RHPS, there are three different DVD editions, and there's the Shock Treatment DVD. There's the standard RHPS DVD, which is a single disc, disc one in this edition. There's the special 25th Anniversary Edition of RHPS, which is disc one and disc two of this edition; it was also the original DVD edition, included in a really special packaging. There's also a DVD of Shock Treatment, which isn't one of the RHPS DVD editions, but it is related to this special ... Read More

This is a classic. Visually stunning and engaging, it follows a family through several generations trying to make it in the entertainment industry.

In my opinion, Bakshi outdid himself with this one.

My only problem is that the final episode was too easy. It lacked the pathos of the rest of the movie. It seemed like an anticlimax.

But the music was great!
