Belushi and Aykroyd were a great pair to star in this movie. I wish they had done other projects like Neighbors. My VHS tape is getting ragged from being played for so many years. Who ever owns the rights to this movie need to get up off there butt and get it out on DVD. Its a shame to leave us out in the cold when they have it available for region 2 players.

Just watched the movie on TCM. I watched it because I am a fan of Vincent Price, but the actor who kept me interested was the man at the ship's wheel. Is that Richard Harrison? His strong and muscular physique was one of the most exciting pieces of scenery in the movie. Once in awhile I saw his handsome profile. He was one hunk of a man in his day....

This was my first "monster" film. I can remember the stir that it caused when it was first released and remember that my mother would not allow me to attend. Now telling an ten year old boy that there is "forbidden fruit" at the local cinema, and telling him that there was no way he was going to attend, is a pretty sure fire way of getting that kid in the theater, one way or another. Yup, I went. (I fear this is indicative of a character trait, or flaw, if you will, that is with me still, after all these years). Welles, who wrote the novel on which it was based, was reportedly disgusted by it, but this is still one of the very best fantasy pictures of the early sound era, easily standing alongside 'King Kong' and Whale's 'The Bride of Frankenstein' as the very cream of the crop. This all new 2007 Digital Transfer of "Clockwork" is must for any fan of this film or films of Stanley Kubrick. Colors are rich and the new transfer is crystal clear. After seeing so many grainy and faded versions throughout the years, it's great to see this film they way it should have looked like. Sound is quite a enhancement as well. As any fan of this film music is the utmost important factor too. So much classical music is played especially Beethoven. The special features are extremely informative as well. Many of the features give a detailed history of the film and why it was banned in England for so many years. Now folks in the UK can see "Clockwork" in prestine condition.
