VHS : The Lone Ranger
I purchased this movie for my parents, so I haven't viewed it! My mom was surprised and excited when she opened it for Christmas, though! I'm sure it will be just as they remember The Lone Ranger!

A little worn on a couple of the tapes...they played sort of fuzzy...but my 75 year old Bonanza loving Mother loved them!

VHS : Bonanza Volume 3
Volume 2 of this series - listed for sale at this site - shows a young James Coburn in the 1st episode smacking his wife around because he thinks she is running around with Adam Cartwright. The 2nd episode has DeForest Kelley (AKA "Bones" McCoy of Star Trek fame) playing "an Apache-slaughtering Cavalry captain". Definitely not politically correct, but brings back lots of memories for us aging baby boomers.

VHS : Gunsmoke Collector's Edition: The Cast, Marshall Proudfoot, Kitty's Rebellion, Buffalo Hunter
I believe this is the 4th season. It delves into the childhood Chester had and Kitty's original occupation and how she started to become owner of the saloon. If you watch TV Land the 1 hr color shows, This will explain the characters and how they evolved.

VHS : Gunsmoke Collector's Edition: Kitty's Outlaw, Twelfth Night, Buffalo Man, The Cabin
These episodes are from Gunsmoke season three. They are: 1) Kitty's Outlaw: A great episode and it really takes us into the past of Kitty Russell. 2) Twelfth Night: A very funny episode featuring mostly Matt and Chester. Some scenes with Doc and Kitty. Basically about two hill-billies that want to kill each other but can't because it's sunday. Matt and Chester go and try to find them on Monday before they do kill each other. All in all, a very hilarious episode. 3) Buffalo Man: Not the best episode. Only really has Matt and Chester and like three other guest stars. No real action at all and though it's a good episode, I've seen better in the third season. 4) The Cabin: The worst episode of season three. This episode was very dull, no action. Only featured Matt and three guest stars and it ... Read More

VHS : Premiere Episodes: Have Gun Will Travel, Gunsmoke, Rawhide, Wild Wild West
This First Draw set is an unbelieveably priced collection of the pilots or premier episodes of popular westerns of the past. Once I saw that two episodes of Have Gun Will Travel was included I was sold. Richard Boone playing Paladin was the epitome of cool decked out in his all black outfit and pencil thin moustache. One episode included a young Charles Bronson playing a bad guy.

A youthful, pre-spaghetti western Clint Eastwood playing in Rawhide also was something special. I was never a big fan of Gunsmoke but James Arness diligently does his thing as Marshal Matt Dillon in the pilot episode.

Also included in this set was the initial episode of the Wild Wild West which was a more recent and cutting edge western that I always enjoyed. Robert Conrad and Ross Martin ... Read More
