VHS : MTV - The State - Skits and Stickers
I happened upon this VHS in a Blockbuster clearance rack about 10 years ago and grabbed it right away. The State had been one of my favorite shows and I needed my 'fix.'

The selection of skits here is great and quite varied. There are a couple notable omissions including Captain Monterey Jack, Old Fashioned Guy and Hits from the 70s. However, if you love off-beat humor and want a good sample of what The State had to offer, this is a great introduction.

This was a strangely addicting series. Weird but in a good way. I dismissed it at first, but it grew on me like a giant brain tumor. Worth a DVD version...but where is it?

VHS : Unplugged
Neil Young confuses me sometimes. All his '70s albums had been bigger artistic successes than commercial ones; and his '80s albums at least proved he had little interest in stardom. But after Clapton's unplugged album jolted him out of his sales slump, our boy Neil was right behind him. But unlike Clapton's, Neil's is arguably the most redundant live album ever released - "Pocahontas", "The Needle and the Damage Done", "Harvest Moon", "Unknown Legend", and "From Hank to Hendrix" had originally been recorded acoustic in the first place, and are virtually unchanged from their studio versions. I suppose they're decent, perfectly acceptable remakes, but I'd much rather hear the originals. And when he significantly reworks the songs, they're hit-or-miss: while "The Old Laughing Lady" benefits from ... Read More

I have had this tape before, but unfortunately I misplaced it when I moved to a different house, but one thing is for sure; if you are looking for something fun, exciting, and effective (if you put some effort into it), then this tape is for you! It is a great workout, from beginning to end. It starts with a warm-up, and goes right into a high-intensity fat burning workout, focusing primarily on the legs and mid-section, and it ends with a cool down. The moves are fun to watch and learn, and most important of all, they work! I highly recommend it!

I LOVED THE MOVIE! and it's the only reason I want to read the book. People should stop comparing this to the book because it is a movie. Movies almost never live up to a book, so stop acting so shocked! This was an MTV interpretation of the book for a younger viewing audience. I watched it it on MTV, the first time it aired and it made me cry. I think I was 18 and I'm so glad to see they now offer a DVD. If you are in your teens or 20's, I think you'll enjoy the movie. =)

I had the hardest difficulty following the instructor in the video because the way he spoke and breathed in. It's very irritating. For this video, you need a step. I just forward to the end and do the yoga.

the first time I watched this, I must have been like 6 or 7. My cousins were all big rock heads and they thought this show was second greatest only to Headbangers Ball. So did I. This video is freakin' awesome. I recommend this to anybody who wants to see what grunge and alternative really WERE, not what they are now.
