VHS : Fright Night Part 2
This movie is very good as far as sequels go and this transfer to DVD is simply unacceptable! Anamorphic widescreen and remastering would improve this a hundred fold. And some nice extras would'nt hurt either. In 2009 it will be the 20 year anniversary, so for you studio heads out there who re-release other movies every five years, how about giving us Fright Night 2 for essentially the first time.

3.Comrades of Summer starring: Joe Mantegna, Natalya Negoda, Michael Lerner, Mark Rolston, John Fleck

VHS : Comrades of Summer
I enjoyed "The Comrades of Summer." It had better baseball than a lot of sports movies, and the characters were engaging and entertaining. The situation of a hotshot manager who is brought down to earth by his own greed and over-reaching is a cautionary tale for all of us who think the world is our oyster. Having a railroad track running through your practice field's infield gives new meaning to the term "bad hop." I thought this was very funny stuff.

VHS : Aloha Summer
Just surfing around thru Amazon and found this title. Reminded me that I need to dig out my copy and watch again. A really great little film. Not Oscar-worthy, but just a nice little picture with some really deep ideas buried within it. I just wish someone would reissue this as a dvd.

VHS : Witness to the Execution
This TVM about the evil lords of pay-for-view TV hooks into the bread and circuses level of entertainment, but taking us where Jerry Springer is yet to go - live coverage of the execution of death row criminals. That the company who forms an agreement with politicians is called Tycom may be a reference to Viacom, with Sean Young as the head of programming, Len Cariou as her boss, and Timothy Daly as the convicted killer chosen for his appeal to women, who we are told control the remote in American households. Although Daly's Sean Penn Dead Man Walking bouffant gives him a sociopathic suggestion, to Young he is a pussycat, which leads her to believe that he is innocent, so director Tommy Lee Wallace gives us a race against the "countdown to justice". The teleplay by Thomas Baum hasn't decided what we ... Read More

VHS : Presence
THE PRESENCE is a 1992 tv-pilot for NBC that never sold; watching it you can see why. A typically stereotypical group of survivors end up on a deserted (not really, though) island which once housed a facility where genetic breeding was conducted. In the mishmash of the plot, one never knows what really happened, and by its "open ending", you can see how it would have been a series. The cast is wasted, with only flashes of talent from Gary Graham and Joe Lara. Otherwise, its effects are mundane and its suspense level virtually non-existent.

VHS : Final Justice
Everything about this movie was very well done and the acting was amazing. Annette O'Toole did such a good job in this movie i can not even put it into words. Michael McKean did great as well, and seeing him do a serious role other then his usual comedy was great to see. Over all, this is a very good movie and i think everything who see's it will not be disappointed.

VHS : Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Most people don't understand the reason why this movie does not have Micheal Myers in it...
This sequel was meant to spawn a "series" of movies that showed something strange, dark, weird, or disturbing happening on Halloween besides a killer in a mask chasing horny teens...
In other words..."they" were going to drop the Micheal Myers story after 2 and move on to other things...

People either didn't catch on or just didn't like the idea, and this movie became a lost cause...

I, personally, love this movie...I've seen it more time than any of the other Halloweens...and personally think that its story and acting rise FAR ABOVE the ridiculous re-openings to the Micheal Myers story (parts 4, 5 and "Curse") They should have either stopped the M.M. story at 2 or forgotten about ...
