VHS : Futureworld
Films buffs will want to know that the Spanish R2 'Mundo Futuro' DVD is missing footage. There are four cuts totaling 2.5 minutes of missing footage:

1. The pre-credit sequence is missing.
2. Some dialoge during the press invite, round table scene.
3. When Peter Fonda explores the remains of Westworld.
4. Dialogue at the very end.

Until a better version is released, your best bet is to pick up the R2 UK full frame edition which includes all of the above cuts.

VHS : I Will Fight No More Forever: The Heroic, Tragic Story of the Nez Perce Indians and their Leader, Chief Joseph
This movie retraces a crucial episode of the Nez Perce Indians' history, at a time when the Native Americans were forcibly relocated to reservations. Very informative and really entertaining. We are truly moved by Chief Joseph's decision to surrender so as to spare the lives of the children and by the white soldiers' sympathy for him.

VHS : Whale For the Killing
Peter Strauss, normally a wonderful actor, let's his drama-queen persona move to the forefront as he cries to the dying whale to hold on and not give in. You almost wish he'd marry it and get it over with.
Over-acting aside, the movie is based on a superb book (of the same title) and STILL is a fine family movie (violent stupidity notwithstanding). I will give it 3 thumbs up.

7.I the Jury (1982) starring: Armand Assante, Barbara Carrera, Laurene Landon, Alan King, Geoffrey Lewis

VHS : I the Jury (1982)
This flick starts with a pre-opening credits teaser along the lines of the James bond films. Armand Assante, a forceful, charismatic actor grabs your attention and for the most part keeps it. The absolutely gorgeous Barbara Carrera makes a stunning femme fatale. Not a bad update of Spilanes first Mike Hammer book. It even retains the famous final line. Much truer to the hard-boiled private eye then the watered down tv version of the 80's.

8.A Rumor of War starring: Brad Davis, Keith Carradine, Michael O'Keefe, Richard Bradford, Brian Dennehy

VHS : A Rumor of War
This is a pretty good movie. I remember catching it on TBS one day while staying home sick from school. I was still sick the next day, so I got to catch the second part of it. It was a movie that stuck out in my mind for its portrayal of the war.

A few years later, I remember seeing the book and reading it. The book was much better because it went into the mindset of the character and why he joined the Marines. The movie does a decent job of portraying that, but not quite.

Another movie that needs to find its way to DVD.

VHS : V - The Final Battle
Last time I watched this was back in the day when TV were of poor quality and it's kinda weird watching this as an Adult. I love 'V' and it was a great miniseries.
