VHS : Pinky & the Brain: Mice of the Jungle
Pinky & the Brain is a great modern cartoon. The Snowball episode is not at all bad but is far from the hilarious heights they usually reach. "Welcome to the Jungle" episode is quite entertaining as Pinky adapts to the jungle more easily than the Brain resulting in funny hijinks. Though not usually mentioned the key to this compilation that makes it a must have is the educationally accurate rendition of "Brainstem" that will leave you rolling on the floor while you brush up on your neuroanatomy under the tutelage of the Brain (& Pinky). Based on this musical intermezzo I must wholeheartedly recommend this video collection!

VHS : Animaniacs: Helloooo Holidays
Just sat back and watched this tape with the family last night for the first time in a few years. Boy this is some funny stuff. Wakko, Yakko, and Dot are Warner Bros. crazies in the best tradition of Warner's golden age of the 30's and 40's. This 45 minute or so tape features 6 holiday shorts featuring the Animaniacs, Wacky Squirrel and Pinky and the Brain.

Thier take on an upbeat and swinging "Little Drummer Boy" is a joy. The Great Wakkorotti (read Pavarotti) Belches "jingle Bells" and is sure do delight the kids.

There's a nice take on Scrooge as the Animaniacs save Ralph the Security guard's job at the Warner Brothers lot from mean old studio Head Mr. Plotz...

All very good and fun stuff. Good animation and songs.

I would not recommend buying from this seller. I still have not received my order and this seller will not respond to any of my emails. Most likely I will not even be able to get my money back. :(

VHS : Animaniacs - Spooky Stuff
In many way, Steven Spielberg's Animaniacs was ahead of its time of being retro. Make Sense? Well the Animaniacs were really a throw back to the golden age animation of the 1940's. This tape includes all Halloween/horror themed episodes in the usual chaotic style of the Animaniacs.

The shorts on this tape include:

"Draculee Draculaa" - The Warner Siblings think that they have gone to Pennsylvania to find their parents (pencils) but instead wind up in Transylvania. They decide to stay the night in Dracula's castle. Dracula tries to bite Dot's neck, so they pull his teeth out for Dot to wear in her hair to make her look like Sheena Easton.

"Phranken Runt" - Dr. Phrankenstein creates a monster dog, named Scout, to destroy a village, but Scout is struck by lightening ... Read More

VHS : Friends - The Complete Third Season
Friends - The Complete Third Season is definitely a standout season in my opinion. The cast really became like a unit the third season, their chemistry is strong and quite rare. Season 3 is full of gems like the releationship and sad break-up of Ross and Rachel. Joey and Chandler have some new pets - a chick and a duck! Monica tries to get over break-up from Richard and dates a billionaire named Pete towards the end of the season. Phoebe is probably the most genuine and funniest character, love her performance in The One with the Dollhouse. Excellent season, I highly recommend it, enjoy!

VHS : Animaniacs Sing-Along: Yakko's World
Okay yes they do talk fast, but this particular video has a great learning addition: both Wakko's America and Yakko's world is on this tape. Even if they kids don't get all of it, they'll pick up on some of it, and before you know it, maybe they'll recite the state capitals without much trouble.

It is fun, and while not all of the tape is relavent to the classroom, Animaniacs do provide a screen for learning that isn't evidant in many other 'educational' tapes.

VHS : When Things Were Rotten
In the back of my mind, for DECADES, I have wondered why "When Things Were Rotten" was cancelled so quickly. As a kid, after all, I loved it. After buying this tape, though, I now know. Despite the wonderful site gags, the off-topic lines by characters directly to camera, the much-beloved comic geniuses who guest-starred, and despite the fact that it came from my hero Mel Brooks -- it's just a lot more stupid than funny. Even the theme song isn't as funny as I remembered it. And the sets look like a high school play. Oy!

So should you buy this? If you love Mel Brooks as I do, then yes you should. After all, there are a ton of funny gags and lines that even Richard Gautier's really poor delivery can't kill. The potential was here, but didn't really come to fruition until "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" ... Read More

VHS : The Mary Tyler Moore Show: Chuckles Bites The Dust
Of all the episodes of Mary Tyler Moore, this has to be the best! The way they deal with the death of their friend, Chuckles the Clown, is both touching and hilarious. The jokes cracked in the newsroom about the bizarre way Chuckles died horrified Mary, but the humor, and the sadness, get to her. As Murray said "It could have been worse. He could have gone as Billy Banana and had a gorilla peel him to death!" ROTF

I know that episode helped me through a very difficult time. When my mother died, it was devastating to me. For some reason, I put on a video of Chuckles Bites the Dust the morning of her funeral. Surprisingly, it helped me cope. Thanks, Chuckles. Thanks Mary.
