Coal Miner's Daughter - 25th Anniversary Edition Great movie for family night. Cissy Spacek did a great job portraying Loretta Lynn and kept me entertained the whole time. Anyone who loves music should see this movie and would know how truly tough it is to break into the music business; this movie definately shows what it takes to make it famous. Anyone who was or is poor can associate with the story this movie tells. This is not a documentary but it does show a lot of history on Loretta Lynn and is enjoyable to watch...definately not boring!

Brosnan's third Bond movie, The world is Not Enough, is high on action but weak on plot. Robert Carlyle is a pretty good villain but his motivations seem a bit unclear. Sophie Marceu is also very good as the main Bond girl, while Denise Richards' performance is weak and she's completely miscast. Leonard Maltin wrote that the movie makes M (Judi Dench) seem foolish, and he's right. From the earlier movies, I took her to be a bright woman, but in this one she's unbelievably stupid, considering she's the head of an intelligence agency (no pun intended). I wish they had done some more rewrites on the script and replaced Denise Richards. It's still an enjoyable movie, but not as good as it could have been.

Enigma is a very interesting look at code breaking and espionage in Britain during World War II. The two main stars, Dougray Scott and Kate Winslet do a wonderful job of portraying two intelligence people who uncover clues that lead to the breaking of the German Enigma machine which had been used to encrypt German messages between submarines. There is action interspersed with suspense and a great supporting cast. I highly recommend it.

This seller kept me informed of where the CD was during the shipping process. The item was received in a timely manner. Unfortunately the CD case was damaged upon arrival. However, the CD itself was in excellent condition as posted by the seller. My friend is enjoying the CD. I would buy from this seller in future.

Despite the requisite Hollywood cliches, this is a great film. Dian Fossey didn't know what she was getting into when she volunteered to go to Africa, working for Dr. Louis Leakey in taking a census of the endangered Mountain Gorillas. She didn't realise she was expected to work alone, in a remote mountain hut, and in a country torn by civil war... But she came to love the subjects of her study so much, that nothing could prize her from the mountain, not even the (human) man she eventually fell in love with. "When you look deep into a gorilla's eyes," she wrote, "your life is changed forever." I love this movie. It is not a Ha-Ha comedy, but it is a fun movie that to me is a closet classic. Belushi might have been mis-cast, but he pulls it off.
