VHS : Out to Sea
This is a very funny movie, in my oponion it is better than
Grumpy old men.
Jack is the realist & Walter is the dreamer
Walter wants Jack to go with him on a cruise to meet some women
that are rich to take care of them for the rest of their life.
What Walter didn't tell Jack was they were to dance with
guests that didn't have anyone to dance with, that's what
was paying for their cruise.
I rate this movie a 9 from 1to10!!

VHS : The Flamingo Rising

Poor Larry Baker, after viewing "The Flamingo Rising" it is easy to see why he was so disappointed with this screenplay adaptation of his novel. Rather than an effective and efficient visual condensation of his book, the film is more like what would result if a film company ran out of money in mid-production (with a third of the scheduled scenes still to be shot) and just assembled the available stuff into a plausible sequence. Unfortunately, the missing third contained many scenes that explain what is happening.

This film might only be intelligible to Baker's readers, who can at least fill in the blanks with what they already know. They might also enjoy comparing and contrasting the film's visuals with how they pictured those things while reading the book.

I was very surprised at how good this movie was. It's a light-hearted comedy about two hard workers who decide to take a vacation and end up stranded on an island inhabited by Gregory Harrison. The romances switch back and forth, and it really has a surpising ending. Find this video at your local video rental store and watch it, it will make you feel good after seeing it!

VHS : Joy of Sex
The only connection here to the esteemed book is that our main (and desperate) character Alan (Cameron Dye) keeps a well thumbed copy with him in class. He pines for Leslie (Michelle Meyrink) who's considered off-limits because her father (Christopher Lloyd) is the overprotective lethal wrestling coach. Leslie is looking to "score" also - she misunderstands her doctor and thinks she only has a few months to live. Subplots revolving around Alan and Leslie's attempts to "lose it" include a confused exchange student from Mecca and an undercover policewoman (Colleen Camp) who's looking to bust a student named "Mushroom" Malone. Formula teen comedy offers some laughs and originality - not to mention a "fart lighting" contest.
