VHS : A Cry In The Wild
While the movie wasn't nearly as good as the book, it was an excellent teaching tool for my fifth graders. Many are reluctant readers. After reading the book and viewing the movie, the book won hands down. Mission accomplished. Although the movie was somewhat of a disappointment, the service I received was excellent. If I need to purchase movies or materials for my classroom in the future, amazon.com will be one of my first stops.

This thriller is based on a single lady, Kristen (soon to be bride) who becomes abducted by a crazy psychotic drifter after a visit to her want-to-be husband, Sam, a park ranger in Death Valley. After Sam spots an accident a few miles in the desert, the two go out and investigate. Then the thrill starts.

This is a wonderful performance on the part of Esai Morales and the sexy Patricia Healy. I saw it as a teenager at the age of 16, and I have not forgotten it. This is a must-see for suspense thrillers. However, word of caution: There is a rape scene in it.

Cheyenne Warrior is a lovely film, with romance and action. I highly recomend it and I'll give it a dice cast of 6!!!
It tells the story of an white woman and a wounded warrior, who must stick together (weather they like it or not) to survive. And as time goes by they even fall in love with one another. But their different nations keeps draging them apart...

No matter what I wrote here, it would not do this movie justice. It has great party/frat guy characters, loads of unintentional humor, some great nudity, and an overly complicated plot that will leave you scratching your head as well as your nuts. If you like silly 80s movies, do yourself a huge favor and check this out. Hopefully it will receive a DVD release someday.

Coming into a movie of its sorts you're expecting the sorrows, with your klenex close by. Having this about a child allows for the water works.
The young antagonist of the movie comes across as a delightful personality. He's into football, and for Christmas his parents give him a new bike, but he's tired. He's lying on the sofa.
After the holidays, he mentions an earache, but the doc doesn't think much of it. Mom and the pharmacist at the drugstore believe otherwise, as he worsens. With the days passing, his mom worries about a developing nightmare.
Any parent can understand the dread, and fears, when their precious child is in harms way.
The way various family members take to the boy's serious illness feels real. It's a combination of elements.
My one gripe is with the ... Read More

VHS : Heroes Stand Alone
Within the first five minutes, I was laughing so hard that my eyes were filling with tears. Of course, the problem is that "Heroes Stand Alone" isn't meant to be a comedy.

An American spy plane crashes in the jungles of San Pedro, a fictional Central American country. The US government sends in a team to retrieve the black box. Meanwhile, some Russian and Cuban guerillas are attempting to reach the crash site first. Can't you just feel the tension?!!

The sole special effect which the makers of this film could afford was pyrotechnics. That would be fine if there were such things as a plot or actual actors. Alas, those are nowhere to be found so the attempt is made to distract you with the occasional fireball. A plane crash? We see a series of fire spouts shooting up from the ground. ... Read More
