VHS : Sailor Moon - Mysterious Tuxedo Mask (TV Show, Vol. 4)
This is the 4th volume of Sailor Moon's 1st season. Most of the episodes on this tape are filler episodes. By this point, the SM formula is pretty obvious: Serena has a problem, villain sends out monster, defeat monster, solve problem. It's pretty basic, but if you like it, this is the series for you.

Episode 13: Wedding Day Blues - One of Serena's teachers is getting married. A contest offers a trip to Hawaii for anyone who knits a wedding dress. Serena and Raye hope to win that trip for themselves, but Nephlite uses this as an opportunity to gain more energy.

Episode 14: Shutter Bugged - A young boy photographer is awarded for his excellent work. He becomes a local celebrity and Nephlite's latest target. Under the power of the Negaverse, the boy looks for girls to photograph ... Read More

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon brings back so many memories. When I was very young and Sailor Moon first came out, I found it by fate by flipping the channels. Back then no one else watched it and it was on at 6:00 in the morning. Many years later I reunited with it and then I ordered the Japanese episodes fansubbed. The Japanese episodes were amazing. Back then their was no official distributer, so I ordered from a fansubbed distributer. The Japanese version was so different from the American version. It was completely different. I love both versions though. The English version brings back memories from my childhood while the Japanese version is uncut. It's fun comparing the episodes and seeing how much was changed. This version, however, is the edited and changed. It cuts out many scenes and makes a lot of changes. While it ... Read More

This seventh volume of the series has some amusing episodes, but all four of them are filler episodes. Zoycite continues hunting for the rainbow crystal carriers while Tuxedo Mask and the 4 Sailor Scouts all try to get them for themselves.

Episode 25: Too Many Girlfriends - Lita crushes on Andrew and attempts to win him over with cooking and cleaning, but she is shocked to find out that he already has a girlfriend, Rita. At this time, Rita has a chance to go off to Africa to study her field, but trouble strikes when Zoycite targets Rita as a crystal carrier.

Episode 26: Grampa's Follies - 1st Appearance of Chad. Zoycite targets Raye's grandfather as a crystal carrier, but he evades her at first. In the meantime, a burned out rock star, Chad, comes to stay at the temple and find some peace. Grampa ... Read More

Okay in this review I'm not going to tell you about how bad this "dubbed" version is because it is soooooooo good. I er.....um just wanted to clear that up because most reviewrs will tell you it sucks!): NOT TRUE....IT DOESN'T.

Okay okay so here's the info on the video. Firt of all it rocks, it features four super cool episodes about poor Usagi/Serena and how Tuxedo Mask has been brainwasahed. The first episode Little Miss Manners-is about how Usagi wants to learn how to act like a princess. She goes to a school to learn but the headmistress is posessed by a yoma named Polite Society. Makota/Lita and Ami/Amy are trapped leaving the rescuing up to Sailor Moon, Venus, and Mars.....(hint hint the not good enough). The next episode Ski Bunny Blues-is about how the girls go on a ski trip. Rei is a pro but ... Read More

This eighth volume of season 1 is definitely a must have if you are watching this series. Every episode is important in some way. Acting as a sort of mid-point for the season in the fact that it separates two eras.

Episode 29: Sailor V Makes the Scene - 1st Appearance of Sailor V (Venus), Artemis. Zoycite masquerades as Sailor Moon around town in order to draw out the four scouts. When they fall into her trap, even Tuxedo Mask is wounded and defeated. With Zoycite and her partner, Malachite, about to win, Sailor V arrives to save the day. Her guardian cat, Artemis, reveals that the V stands for Venus. The scouts are thrilled to add Sailor Venus to the team. However, despite this joyful occassion, Queen Beryl discovers Tuxedo Mask's true identity.
