Well, I have to kick myself in the butt.. The Stepfather series is perhaps the best slasher series since the original psycho. Although pt 2 and 3 had been released on dvd, I hesitated on purchaseing them due to hoping the 1st movie would be released, which it never has. Now that I have waited, it looks like pt 2 and 3 are soon to be no longer avaliable on dvd... Does this mean that there will be a boxed set released with pt 1, 2, and 3 together? God I hope so. If this were so I would buy it without a doubt. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RELEASE ALL THREE STEPFATHER DVDS TOGETHER!

Some time ago I have watched this movie not once and not even twice. But I want to go back to watching it over again. Why? I've lived the story myself. It is not a fiction. It could be reality. And I believe there are many stories untold that are even more frightening. There are truly people out there who hide their persona well. And there are women out there for real who for their own reason get involved with individuals like those. I believe this movie was empowering to all open-minded people who can see beyond, who can empathize, who do not label or prejudge and who are on their journey of self-discovery. We all go through different experiences for a reason to learn and teach. Some people call it fate, some people call it a coincidence but always it ends with the kind of choices we make now ... VHS : Good Son
The Good Son when released in 1993 was a film starring it child actor Macaulay Culkin. Culkin played the bad boy role very effectively and had good chemistry with Eiljah Wood. Joe Rebuen's direction was tense but the film was a little short in it's running time for my tastes. I wished they would have gone into a back story with Henry's reasons for being evil. One question remains though, why did Wood become a bigger star?

Keeping this short..."True Believer" is a film that my husband and I watch at least twice a year, and never get tired of! It's a superb combination of murder mystery, courtroom drama, and redemption story. Clever, quick-moving, superbly acted (with a dazzling performance from James Woods at the center), and full of delicious witty surprises, like the wonderful character of "Cecil (He likes it pronounced See-Sill) Skell", the much-needed witness who can re-open an old murder case, but who resides in a mental institution, and is convinced that the Telephone Company killed President Kennedy. A wonderful movie!

This was a true classic of the 1980's. It is a stupid movie that has little story line and even more meaningless characters. Watch it with a grain of salt and just take it for the moronic but funny movie that it is. Dennis Quaid and Fran Drescher make some of their earliest appearances in this film. Fran has always had that irritating, whiny voice - but the breast implants came later. Dennis is a military nut that is way off the deep end. Getting a good buzz or snorting up a bit of a Rush popper will makes this movie even better.

Alex Gardner was born with certain "talents" - a telepathic genius - able to manipulate the conscious mind. But it is not until he is approached with an offer to further parapsychology that he learns just how profound his abilities can fathom.

Living a life of mundane concerns*, at the behest of Dr. Novotny {Max Von Sydow}, he returns to his former life engaging in psychical research to further the efforts of the mind to tap the abyssal subconscious, projecting into others' dreams, in what is essentially the practice of Lucid Dreaming, what some of us have already mastered. With the aid of a 'dream machine' situated in the 'dream chamber' {"Who's your decorator, Darth Vader?"; it is a nice chamber!}, which merely regulates bio-functions, it begins as a form of therapy, witnessing patients' fears, ... "Joyride" is an independent 1977 road flick starring the sons of Desi Arnaz (and Lucy) & John Carradine and the daughters of Tippi Hedren & June Lockhart.

THE STORY: Three footloose youths, two guys and a girl (a young Melanie Griffith) all around the ages of 18-20, decide to leave their dead-end jobs and travel to Alaska. They have some half-baked plan to become salmon fishermen, but they're more likely just looking for adventure, fun and possibly a sense of purpose. Unfortunately they're forced to pick up other dead-end jobs, including working for the oil pipeline. Desperation leads to crime where they acquire a hostage (Anne Lockhart), who ultimately becomes a willing partner.

I never heard of this film before and took a chance picking it up. I was under the impression that ... Read More

I have watched this movie over and over, i never get sick of it. It is a very serious film that opens your eyes to the affect media has on certain situations. All roles are played perfectly. I definately advise anyone and everyone to buy this film, it is fantastic, even the 100th time you watch it.
