Overall, this is one of the better sequels out there. The animation is wonderful and I love the soundtrack. This really keeps my 2 year olds attention and he loves Woody and Buzz. I think the first Toy Story was a little bit more unique/original/quippy, but this is great, too.

Since then I became interested in computer graphics and because I had moved to Paris I became the co-founder and Vice-President of the Local Group of SIGGRAPH in France. When I quit making films, I devoted myself to what I felt would be the future of cinema-making (computer graphics). In 1988, we held our first congress and I had the pleasure of inviting John Lasseter to Paris where he gave a talk to a great audience in the Geode of the Museum of Science and Industry. Then we had the first showing in Europe of his baby, "Tin Toy Story".

Sure, we have a three year old at home. Now and then we watch TV together. Since watching movies with my kid is kind of new, I'm looking more closely at what to watch. Just about everything from Pixar and John Lassiter is some of the most inspired stuff I've come across. The characters, the stories, the animation and the casting all create a high water mark not just for children's viewing but for every one. "A Bugs Life" is certainly one of the better ones in the group. I can say this after several, and I mean several viewings.
