VHS : California Dreaming
Dennis Christoper travels west to find himself after his brother dies just after cutting his first jazz/blues record. He ends up in a surf 60's world that might as well be the moon...as he is really out of place and feels lost and totally alone. Enter a over-the-hill bar owner who still carries a torch for his ex-wife,he takes the boy in over the protests of his daughter. This begins a relearning period of mistakes and absolute blunders until he finally gets the girl and looses the father figure to an unexpected heart attack without being able to say he was sorry for doubting his success in the Olympics. The film is twisted with good and bad surfers, poor little rich girls and pott heads along with beach vollyball at it's roots. I recommend seeing this film as it is funny and I left alot out because ... Read More

VHS : Let's Scare Jessica to Death
I love this movie. It is one of my all-time Halloween favorites. I remember watching this years ago on TV as a kid. I couldn't even watch it alone in the house when I became an adult. It may be a bit dated, but the creepy feel created by the voice of Jessica talking in her head, the first stop in the graveyard, and the weird sound track all combine to keep the viewer on the edge of his/her seat. I lent this movie to my stepson and after one viewing, his 18 year old friends wanted to borrow it again. Recommended for the spooky movie fan.

Certainly the finest TV series I've ever watched. It sometimes brought tears almost simultaneously with laughter. The only thing to regret about this tape is that its not a complete DVD collection of Hill Street Blues.

VHS : Bang the Drum Slowly
bang the drum slowly is one of the few movies that lives up to the book. deniro/moriarty. wow! this is a slice of the majors before a backup catcher was a millionaire. and a 20 game winner sells insurance on the side. the concept of "TEGWOR," (the eternal game without rules) is machiavellian by way of jocks playing cards and playing the fans. it's true to a wince. this movie is the equal of bull durham and almost matches field of dreams. a true comedy in the classic sense.
