VHS : Scooby Doo and the Alien Invaders
This is a really cute Scooby Doo. For months my son talked about Crystal from Scooby Doo (he had watched it at his babysitters). Finally we caught part of the movie on TV and I was able to the Title. I ordered it and suprised him with it. He loves it. It's cute to watch Shaggy and Scooby going all lovey dovey over Crystal and her dog. I think most kids will enjoy it and as a long time Scooby watcher and fan I did too!

VHS : Scooby Doo: Witch's Ghost (Clam)
We love Scooby and crew, but the series is supposed to be focused on humor, not on preaching in defense of Wiccans. There are several scenes here where Velma's character makes extended, and extremely boring, defenses of Wiccans as misunderstood kind-hearts. That's fine for the New York Times op-ed page, but it bores the kids. These Hollywood writers were so busy trying to annoy Christians, they forgot to write some jokes. Total waste of money and time.

VHS : Scooby Doo: Witch's Ghost (Clam)
I was SO disappointed in the decision to change the format of the classic Scooby's. As a child, I liked being just a bit "scared" and then being relieved that the culprits were just grownups in masks. As a parent, I was always comfortable that Scooby reinforced the message that there are no real monsters or ghosts. My little ones always laughed at the silly "bad guys" who were just trying to scare the gang. These new movies (Witches Ghost, Zombie Island) go against this entire philosophy. The ghosts are real. The zombies are real. The witches are real. It completely upset my kids who kept saying to me, "But Scooby and the gang always show how the bad guys are just PRETENDING!" It upset them and it upset me. I know LOTS of moms that won't even allow their kids to watch these. My kids are a bit older ... Read More
