This is not the fastest action movie out there but it is VERY COOL! How many other movies show the guys changing magazines in their submachine guns at the proper time? No shooting the guns all day without reloading! Has a good solid story line, some cool one-liners and a lot of neat stunts. This movie is worth adding to your collection. Now to get it on DVD.

VHS : Timemaster
This has to be one of the best low-budget films of all time! Michelle Williams, Michael Dorn and Pat Morita are awesome! Jesse needs acting lessons, though he is sufficient for the film.

I don't think that many people will see this film. I rented it after I saw it in the video store. I have no idea why it is [$$] bucks..., maybe because it is hard to get, although I haven't tried looking for it hard.

This is a cool movie about a boy who travels through time to try and stop an evil plot by Dorn to destroy the Earth for a game. The game is kind of hard to explain. It is played for a life-giving substance called 'Blue.' Blue gives it's bearer eternal life, but if you stop taking it you die.

Pat Morita enlists Jesse to stop this game and save his parents from being ... Read More

I am an ardent admirer of Scott Glenn and will watch anything he makes. This is a film for father and son bonding, plus the storyline while not a terrific one is none the less entertaining.

Saddem got a lot of his most evil ideas from this movie, such as lowering people who talked trash about him into a meat grinder...legs first for maximum effect.

Since when has it ever been written that Jackie Chan can't have nudity, profanity, and less comical fight scenes in one of his movies? NEVER!

I don't understand all of the fuss over the above mentioned things being in this movie. I don't recall it being produced by Disney! As far as the storyline goes, since when has a Jackie Chan storyline ever been nominated for an Oscar? NEVER!

Okay, now that I have got that off my chest, I shall continue with the review.

This movie, which was made in the 80's, is Jackie Chan's first "American" made film and it really isn't a bad one at all. Sure there are some holes in the plot and some, rather absurd scenes in the movie, but it is still a pretty good buddy-action movie featuring Jackie Chan, Danny Aiello, and my favorite, Bill "Superfoot" ... Totally ridiculous, wasted a lot of money on the meaningless dynamite, gasolin and the explosions are absolutely unnecessary. The movie script is done by a 5th grader I think, so funny, shallow and so clueless, wasted Walken. The problem of this actor is that since he won the best supporting actor in the Deer Hunter, all the movies he decided to play a role... big time, no matter it's a mob story or anything else, except one movie that was seriously enough to be treated as a not bad movie, The Dog(s) of War.

Two of my favorite actors, Peter Weller and Sam Elliott, in the same movie it should be great, right? Wrong. Unfortunately the whole is less than the sum of the parts. Not that it's a bad movie. Decent action and a good story, but then some odd quirks, the most egregious of which was the ending when a crane lifts the car over a barrier and ... well, I don't want to ruin the plot, but the ending is almost cartoon-like in sharp contrast to the gritty realism of most of the rest of the movie.
Weller and Elliott do the best they can with the script and direction, and what you have is a half-way decent Saturday afternoon actioner and not much else.
