Love the DVD. My VCR tape finally wore out. I can really understand the words better- much clearer than the tape.
This is a must have in every home if you like a good action packed movie that has serious moments, good laughs and great lines about how to think about life and living in it.
Val Kilmer, Kurt Russell and Sam Elliott at their best.

VHS : Escape to Athena
I hadn't seen this movie in more than 20 years. It was one of my favorites back then. I'm so glad I got it through Amazon. Unfortunately, they only had it on VHS. But I don't mind, this is one of the best movies on nazi war affairs. A rare combination of funny stuff with more serious war related matters. It kind of reminds me of MASH, but much better. Telly Savalas and Roger Moore are great. It definitely brought back good memories from my youth.

This is a great movie if you like political intrigue, action and suspense, and if you're a fan of Donald Sutherland and Charlie Sheen. This movie is almost more relevant today than it was when it was made. Great cast and attention-getting, creative plot, with its fair share of twists and turns. If you've never seen this movie, you should!

VHS : Rambo: First Blood Part II (Rambo 2)
Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is emancipated by Col. Trautman (Richard Crenna) from the prison camp where he is serving time and sent back to Nam to gather evidence of the existence of POWs. Problem is, the "government," as embodied by a square-jawed tool named Marshall Murdock (Charles Napier), doesn't want anyone to be found.

This stunningly illogical piece of garbage trots out all the reliable boogeymen of Cold War Reagan-era America: evil Russians, loathsome Asians, and two-faced bureaucrats (government is the problem). I'm not sure that Rambo's mission even makes any sense except perhaps as a piece of intra-governmental propaganda since a convicted criminal's failure to find evidence of abandoned MIAs could hardly be expected to be persuasive to the general public. Rambo's enemies ... Read More

VHS : Rambo Trilogy (3pc)
I saw Rambo first blood part 2 when I was about 14yrs old. I still remember the cheers in the theater when Rambo was wasting the enemy. This three disk trilogy set is well worth the money. It not only has the first three Rambo films, but has lots of extras both on each movie disk as well as the additional disk with more extras. These movies definitely bring back memories. I hope this review helps.
