This movie is stupurbolis! Yes I make up my own word for it. I'm glad it doesn't have any songs in it. If it did, I probably would have thrown the VHS out long ago. As for the different tones in the picture, did they restore it before they transfered it? And Nymph 2 was a perfectly good movie and excellent sequel. The songs were entertaining. My schpeil's done.

Ok. For starters this is an adorable little movie about one "orphans" struggle to belong and find happiness. Its not supposed to be historicaly accurate it never CLAIMED to be historically accurate. Your supposed to take it for what it is instead of throwing and excpecting all these hidden meanings in it. Yes, Rasputen is a very graphic character but any reviews of him "scarring your children for life" should be COMPLETELY disregarded as having a very wimpy child and nothing more. For christs sake people, its a cartoon. Now I don't reccomend anyone under the age of 4 watching this movie alone. A childs greatest comfort is its parents/guardians so take a break and watch it together. Almost eliminates the chance for being scared. I give it 5 stars and btw, my 1 yr old little girl watched this with ... Read More

My mom bought me the movie after we finished reading Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. I was really excited to watch it. When I did, I ended up bewildered and disappointed.

First, there were many things in the movie not even in the book. Also, I didn't understand why Nicodemus and the owl had spooky, yellow glowing eyes. They were very creepy. The movie was much more violent than the book ever was. The rats don't even look like rats. The rats were just smart, there was no need for magic.

In conclusion, this movie was very cheesy. No pun intended.

I got this movie for my son and also because my wife is a 2nd grade teacher. I thought it would be good for the kids when the school has movie days, before the holidays/vacation. This movie was a huge disappointment. I thought it would be along the lines of "The White Seal" or "Riki-tiki", boy was I wrong. It was like someone got up one day while still in their under-wear and wrote something down because they had to meet some deadline. One would do better just recording old "Tom & Jerry" episodes from regular television. We had to force ourselves to get through it and then I was appalled at how bad the ending actually was. No wonder I had never heard of this movie before.
Well, thanks for reading my review.

My 17 year old daughter fell in love with this movie when she was 7. She would watch it everyday when she was younger. This is an uplifting movie about friendship & the lengths people, in this case animals, will go to for their friends. It is a fun, happy movie for all ages that you will enjoy watching time & time again.
I recommend it for everyone!
