VHS : Dragon Ball Z: Cell Games - Nightmare's
This is the end of the Cell Games, and the death of Cell, who was probably the coolest villian of the series. There isn't any of the fighing that leads up to the showdown between Cell and Son Gohan. The first episode is where Cell and Son Gohan shoot off their Kamehameha's in a battle of strength, where Son Goku helps his son find his true power, while Piccolo, Kuririn, Ten, Yamucha, and eventually Vegeta all attack Cell. The next episode is where they all go home because Cell is dead, and Mr. Satan takes credit for Cell's death. The third episode is where Son Goku decides to stay dead, and Kuririn takes the bomb out of Juuhachigou (android 18). The last episode is when Trunks goes to his timeline and kills the Androids. Overall okay video, but the first episode makes it all, one of the best episodes ... Read More

VHS : Dragon Ball Z - The Saiyan Conflict (Boxed Set I - Episodes 1-25)
I've only just finished completing my DBZ DVD collection (nearly 100 DVDs, whew!) and it took FOREVER to track some of them down, but thankfully the Saiyans saga was not so elusive. I've started rewatching them at the very beginning and they are just such classic entertainment. The Saiyan saga may be rudimentary compared to the later sagas, but the later sagas would not have been possible were it not for these earlier sagas where the writers were able to learn and grow so much.

I respect the people who prefer the uncut editions, but I much prefer the cut ones. They have a huge nostalgia factor for me, as these were the episodes that I watched on TV when I first discovered DBZ. The cut versions are shorter, obviously, which I also appreciate when each DVD is over an hour long (that means I ... Read More

VHS : Dragon Ball Z - Cell Games - Surrender (Uncut)
In Dragon Ball Z- Cell Games: Surrender, the crucial action picks up as Goku spars against Cell in the Cell Games. This video ended on a high note as *spoiler* Goku makes the shocking announcement that he wouldn't fight Cell anymore. This video first hit the shelves in November 2001, and many of us have been as apprehensive as Goku's fellow Z Fighters about what would happen next. Who else would be mighty enough to take on the godlike android? Goku knew, and wasn't worried at all!
Well, as of today (December 10, 2002), DBZ fans can at long last get the answer to this question as Chapters 6 (Cell Games: Earth's Last Hope) and 7 (Cell Games: Awakening) of the Cell Games saga are released! For those of you who remember fondly watching these episodes on Cartoon Network so long ago, here's your chance ... Read More
