Saw this when I was very young, maybe 9 or 10, and it somehow moved me in a visceral way that I simply cannot convey in words. But I never found out what it was called. With the memory of the powerful ending vaguely imprinted on my mind I vowed that I would one day find out the name of this movie. I have been clutching at straws for years trying to figure it out. Only recently did I find out, I'm now 25! I have used the the Warner Brothers comment system on their website to try push for a DVD release. It MUST happen. AMAZON, if you can hear me, please do ALL you can. DVD NEEDED! DVD NEEDED! DVD NEEDED! DVD NEEDED!

Saw this movie when it was in the theatres and bought it on video. It is the type of movie you will watch on a rainy day, or a quiet night with someone. If you believe that someday you will meet that one person, then watch this movie. It is a tear jerker, without all the pretense; however you might make it to heaven before it makes it on dvd but lets hope not.

I'm not sure who the intended audience was for Breakfast of Champions. Mainstream comedy viewers would tuck tail and run from a film like this, while the Vonnegut fans will(and do) hate it because of the plot changes and missing elements from the book. So I guess that just leaves that small number of folks who like far out and bizarre comedies. Now, I personally don't like comedies just for the fact that they're odd, but I do have a fascination in seeing high profile actors doing things we hardly ever see them do. This came out at the right time coz Willis was hot from that Armageddon pile of sludge. Breakfast of Champions is one of those films based on an "unfilmable" novel. I love this movie and my only issue is that the VCR version, subtitled when the characters spoke French - some very amusing asides are lost in the DVD version because the French is not subtitled. Otherwise, I can't recommend it enough.

Eden was superb in the lead. She was amazing at conveying both sex appeal and innocence at the same time. The characters on the show are sometimes a little uneven by the way they're written from ep to ep but the talent of the actors overcomes this small fault. I liked the show much better when it switched to color (it was rather dour in black and white). And I like the married Genie stories as much as the eps where's she is single.
